What did you pay for your CX-9?

Just throwing data in from my recent purchase in Vancouver BC, Canada. 2020 CX-9 GT w/ captain's chairs in machine grey. Was quoted $46734 including freight and PDI. + $700 admin fee, $125 air/tire levy + 12% tax on top of this. I added in roof rack, hitch without harness, and Mazda M011...

    2017 test drive CX-5 vs CR-V

I was at the same event, and really found the 2017 CX-5 to be a bigger upgrade than I expected. (I drive a 2014.5 GT w/ Tech). The GS 2017 handled the skid pad really well, and had great control through the speed bumps and potholes. The CRV was pretty brutal through all of that, but mostly...

    Pioneer AVH-4000 NEX Install

The stock radio/nav in my 2014 GT is so awful that I would pay someone to remove it from my car.

Looking at a CX5 AND RAV4...does anyone here regret buying the CX5? Or the trim level

2014.15 GT w/ Tech (Canadian) here. I hate the stereo/nav. I wanted Xenon lights so I paid way too much for the tech package, but the nav is useless compared to my phone, and the Bose stereo sounds ok, but isn't really any better than the stock stereo in my 2009 Mazda 3. The iPhone...

Will winter tires fit in the trunk with the rear seats up?

I'm going to need winter tires this year and before I head to the shop to get them, was trying to figure out if the wheels will fit in the back without having to put the seats down (2 car seats in the back) This edmunds post seems to say so, but oddly enough he states 15" wheels...

Looks great. Any issues with the camber? Really want to do this, but worried about what issues might be introduced.

My detailer says he zap straps a sign on his steering wheel telling them not to wash his car. He says the lot guy who usually washes the car rarely looks at the work order which will say "no wash", so better to leave a notice in the car itself.

I'm away from home until tonight, but it's a clear strip that you can barely see unless you look closely. What you can see are the edges, but not really the strip itself. It's self healing, so if it gets scratched up, will smooth over in warm weather or if you pour some warm water over it...

the $450 included Opti-Coat pro which is thicker and harder than Opti-coat 2.0 which costs $80. Pro is only sold to installers, so I don't know what the retail cost is. Total time was about 6 hours, which including aquapel on all my glass. The key for me was not worrying about waxing it twice a...

Opti-coat is a "permanent" clear coat. Supposedly I won't need to wax or seal the car for 5+ years (supposedly permanent, but I don't think it's been out long enough to know for sure). Washing is easier too since dirt doesn't stick to the surface nearly as well, so it can be cleaned easier with...

I just had my three week old CX-5 opti coated. The detailer did a great job with it, and it's turning more heads than ever.

About to pull the trigger on the CX-5 but worried about issues

Yeah. iPhone 5 here. I was quite surprised as I expected the bluetooth to work like all the bluetooth speakers I've used, some if which have had play controls too. Mazda managed to implement the worst of all worlds.

About to pull the trigger on the CX-5 but worried about issues

Because you can't. On the 2014 models, if you hit shuffle on your phone, it will light up and then turn back off again after a moment. Rage inducing.

Resuming Playback with 2014 CX-5 GT Tech Stereo and other issues

I emailed Mazda Canada about the terrible iPod integration and they suggested that I go see my local service department. (piss)

    2015 Mazda CX-5?

the unspoken of benefit is setting the car to automatically lock when you walk away from it. That's actually my favourite part.

    2015 Mazda CX-5?

Totally with you on this one. It's only been 2 days with my new CX-5 and despite being prepared for some frustration based on my research, it's maddening how stupid the head unit is. After hearing about how slow iPhone over USB was, I made the dumb assumption I would be fine just using...
