    New CX-5 Akera delivered today

"Same colour as the previous car. This red is IMO the most beautiful red of any car on the market." Your Gen 1 CX-5 was Soul Red Metallic; the new one is Soul Red Crystal Metallic. Big difference if you put them side by side! The later color was evolved from the former to be much more brilliant...

    2017 CX-5 vs 2024?

I put that same tire on my '13 Touring FWD years ago and had the same initial reaction. I ran the recommended pressure @34-35 and learned that the Altimax is a tire that takes some scrubbing (breaking) in. After a few hundred miles it was a totally different tire and quite a good one!

Need help finding CX-5 body trim pieces

That trim piece will actually come off on its own under the right conditions. I had a 2013 and was going north on Hwy 5 in Calif years ago and the left rear tore loose without any prior notice and was bouncing along the road being held on by a single clip. Fortunately it didn't do any harm...

Thoughts on the 2019 CX-5 Seats

I don't know about the 2019, but the seats in my wife's 2023 are pathetic. Not enough bolstering, flat as a board and the bottom is too short to offer decent thigh support. Makes me appreciate the seats in my 2018 3, which don't suffer from any of those shortcomings!

New here and looking at the CX-5

My thought exactly. I've always wondered why Mazda has such a hard time finding really nice looking wheels. Some manufacturers (like Honda) seem to have that really dialed in.

    Fading/Cracking clear coat (2018 CX-5)

And I'll bet yours is garage-kept and the OP's sits outside 24/7. Makes all the difference with paint and headlight lens longevity.

New Member Introduction (2013 CX-5 GT AWD)

The rule of thumb for as long as I can remember has been 'any 4 cyl 2.5 ltrs or larger requires a balance shaft'. It's kind of a basic law of physics.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

So it looks like you pretty much have to use the front plate in order to hide the vertical seam between the two pieces?

See the link in post #6 above for one source. They're widely available. At least they were when I did the work on my car about 8-9 years ago.

Can't go to all that trouble gussying up the front end and leave those license plate screw holes exposed! BumperPlugs

New Member Introduction (2013 CX-5 GT AWD)

With H&R springs, you end up with an average (front to rear) 1.5" drop, so your 2" drop was a bit more severe. Either way, if you don't use front camber bolts you end up with marginally correct camber on the front end. Since I was doing the rear correctly by replacing the lower control arms, it...

New Member Introduction (2013 CX-5 GT AWD)

I had a 2013 Touring that I installed those springs on because I couldn't stomach the ride height (I'm basically not an SUV/crossover kind of guy. Just bought it for the practicality.) First off, if you do install them, be sure to install adjustable lower control arms in the rear and camber...
