    New CX-5 Owner!

My girlfriend of the time bought a new 323 in late 80s. We drove from St. Louis to Puerto Peñasco, Mexico. Excellent little car. She was worried about being able to get unleaded gas but there was no problem. I also have a 2020, a Signature purchased in Colombia. Great car but not for rough...

    CX-5 Radio Shut Off?

I was sitting in the car listening to the radio without the engine running and after maybe fifteen minutes it shut off. I suppose the idea is to not run the battery down. Is that true?

    Mazda Replacement Parts Origin?

Ha ha meow you beat me to it. Anyway thanks everyone. I'm not worried I was just curios. The question occurred to me when I saw the CX-5 control arms for sale on Mercado Libre which is our version of eBay.

    Mazda Replacement Parts Origin?

When Mazda replaces important components (recent example control arms and front shock absorbers) on my car do these come from the original suppliers to the assembly of new vehicles or are they aftermarket products produced elsewhere (typically China)?

    CX-5 Feels squirrelly

On the CX-50 I was in the dealership the other day and they had one in the showroom. That thing has 20" wheels! I can just imagine how comfy the ride would be on rough unpaved road. What's more, reading a review of the car in Motor Trend the principal criticism was ride quality (and that...

Check Engine Light And Other Warnings (2020 CX-5)

Well the culprit off course was the battery which I already guessed from the slow cranking. I don't know what "CEL code" is and the "limp mode"is a new one on me and caused greatest concern as it occured several times yesterday and on the way to the dealership today. Not knowing about this...

Check Engine Light And Other Warnings (2020 CX-5)

No it's a replacement battery. The big worry is the engine power being cut.

I've just read the the "Check Engine Light" thread below and I may heve the same issue, However there's more, The message about Smart City Brake Support came on followed by a warning about the front camera. Concureently the check engine light is on. The worst however is that when all these...

    CX-5 Feels squirrelly

Thanks very much to all of you for indulging my issue. Well it took four years to reach this point and of course now it is fixed so I'm not going to try to change vehicles in the near term but when I do I will certainly look at Toyotas.

    CX-5 Feels squirrelly

Well the repair is complete and the car is back on the road. Here is an image of the replaced parts (one side). The service manager admitted that no my car is not designed to resist rough roads so I should buy a CX-50 which IS (...he says). Maybe but I wonder if the componants replaced on mine...

Although it will be Greek (actually Spanish) to most including me I'm adding the estimate. Brazos" are arms so I imagine referring to the control arm.

    CX-5 Feels squirrelly

A video at the dealership. Both front shocks to be replaced and some other front suspension components. $1,600. This with 33,000 miles on the car. Clearly the CX-5 suspension does not hold up when subjected to travel over unpaved road conditions. Driving this same road I have owned a Suzuki...
