Sounds like an effort to promote understeer. I would be interested in seeing how it reacts on an awd cx5/3 with stiffer suspension and larger sway bars easily capable of mild oversteer

Are you sure this is "heavy steering" or is it possibly excessive understeer, requiring more input? Your G certainly has less understeer. The good news is you can adjust it.

Possibly battery, would be interesting to know what the CEL is but unless you have one of those $5 reader you can't take it somewhere to have the code pulled now. How long did it take to tint window? Sometimes they play music and drain the battery.

I just use syglide. Get yourself some brake parts cleaner and an abrasive cloth to remove the s*** that might be caked on it.

Lol... who cares if the car has over 100k.. if it's in good running condition is what matters. If you've been on a car forum (this one of otherwise) long enough you'll find many people within warranty reporting maintenance issues, some major and not covered by warranty. Things can and will fail...

what the... no way. literally oem style rotors AND pads can be had for about $100 a set, and that's consumer pricing. Machining = extra labor time ($$$) and not even worth it unless you have some high dollar rotors. The brake flush is probably a good idea, but $900 no. Even at a place like brake...

Yea, the open diffs are kinda poopy, but I've ben able to improve their function by adding bigger front and rear sway bars, along with other suspension/chassis mods to keep the weight transfer down

Not scrap worthy, used engine and labour maybe 1500-2000 usd. Could be a number of things without taking it apart, or taking the oil pan off. Low oil level, oil pump failure, VVT solenoid failure other stuff. but not having the cel diagnosed big mistake as it could be pointing to the failure...
