Mazda used superglue to attach the BPV nozzle!!!

32 when i was 22. and 39 when I was 27... can't say I'd want to venture much older than that, though I would go back to the now 43 y/o... for a weekend treat :)

Anyone else with hardpipes experience worse gas milage?

mine went down. definitely due to a heavier foot though. once I eased up my milage was what it was before the pipes. Same deal with the midpipe. (and I paid $1.02 a LITRE for 91 octane last week. 3.75 litres to a US gallon, exchange rate right now is 0.73. That's $2.79 a gallon. Sucks to be...

    2003 mazda speed

If the car doesn't already have an aftermarket alarm, consider getting the compustar 2 way - has a 2 minute TT built in, remote start, and lots of other bells & whistes. www.compustar.org I think

Anyone ever think of this for the P5?

looks like a golf (prob euro spec - look at the plates) to me. I like it. kinda impractical, but ... cool for shows & stuff.

    N/A Gauges ???

my theory as well. I had gauges in my old car before this - Oil pressure, voltage, and amperage. I had 2 sets of 100w fogs/driving lights and an amplifier that I've seen draw 25 amps, so I wanted to keep my eye on the state of charge/discharge of the battery while waiting at stoplights or in...

    Ridiculous thought...

supercharger for quick throttle response, turbo for big boost? ... is that why?? same concept as sequential twin turbos?

    Car Alarm

I have the compustar with most of the bells & whistles. i didn't read your mod list, but ... if you don't have a TT already, the compustar has it, and also has remote start. good 2 stage sensor, paging etc. Basic system was $500 CDN installed, the bells & whistles were extra (mercury hood...

    Most hp outta the msp

any idea what your EGT is while you're getting this power? You're generating a ton of heat at 15 psi. Call me conservative, or careful, but my first choice would not be to go boost happy. I believe it's called "detonation", and it's a bad thing to have happen.

will a cai void my warrenty

I take mine in all the time with CAI, hardpipes, BOV, and midpipe, and they don't care. Find a dealer that's OK with it and treat them well. I asked the shop manager "what about a FMIC"? He said, so what? You're only cooling down the air a bit more, it's not like you're boosting to 15 lbs or...

    Mazdaspeed 3. Hatch or Sedan?

If the msp were to come out looking something like this it wouldn't matter a damned bit which one. I'd take 'em both. (i voted sedan)

how long until you part with your msp?

Gonna have it for quite a while. Unless the MS6 gets me hooked. No there won't be much aftermarket specific for the msp, but there will be a TON for the Protege.. As the P5 and sedans get cheaper, the same type of guys who buy mid 80s / early 90s civics today will be picking up 3rd gen proteges...

    question for people with CAI

Yes. UNTIL the ECU is reset (battery disconnected while doing the install should be long enough) or learns that more air is available. Then NO. Runs and idles great.
