Greddy bov compatibility with hiboost fmic kit?

(hand) That is not what I said. Yes, the HKS valve failed, but it was a bypass valve, not a blow off valve. Please see the picture posted above. The diaphram ripped and would not hold vacuum. Therefore, it would not open at all. This caused compressor surge. Since it bolts to the cold pipe on...

Greddy bov compatibility with hiboost fmic kit?

I never had a HKS BOV. My kit came with a HKS made bypass valve that bolted to the cold pipe. It had a Greddy style 2 bolt flange. I replaced it with a Greddy Type FV and it bolted right on with no issue. I did have to relocate the MAF though, since I am now venting to the atmosphere. Here is a...

    Radiator help / advice

The Mazda dealer you are talking to is retarded. That is the stock radiator. I think the stock part # is RF3F-15-200B MSP.

    [Q]Pressuring the crank case

Failed pcv valve allowing boost pressure into crankcase would do it. If that were the case it would push oil out of the valve cover breather hose into your intake, through your turbo and intercooler and into the intake manifold..

    Main Bearing Support Plate

Definitely looks like a rod has been slung at some point. The engine was likely replaced and the upper OP was reused for some reason (I would not have done that). The replacement engine was likely a non turbo FSDE, in which case the upper OP is different and is not tapped for turbo oil return...

    radiator reservoir boiling

Check your radiator cap also. The bottom part breaks off and it will cause the reservoir to overflow.

Check to see if BOV opens with handheld vacuum pump.

    Help with CEL Codes

Don't quote me on it but I think that's the port for your evap purge line. Manufacturer's usually have them located just inside the throttle body so that purged fuel vapors are evenly distributed between cylinders. Trace the vacuum line leading to your evap purge solenoid. It should have a check...

    Sealent?

At our shop, we use a product available at NAPA called Formed in Place Gasket that is made by a company called Aisin. It is a form of black RTV, but is tough as hell. It works way better than regular RTV.

What VTA BOV's are you guys using?

Yeah, I get that. My MAF is relocated, so I know it would not have a driveability issue, but under vacuum isn't it sucking unfiltered air into the engine? Probably not a big deal, but just curious...

What VTA BOV's are you guys using?

So, if you guys are running the Synapse and venting to the atmosphere, are you using the anti-stall valve kit? If not, doesn't it stay open under vacuum like a bpv?
