    Dirtysouth's Project Thread

These are one of the worst, black freakin' widows. That one was about the size of a silver dollar with its legs spread out. I've also found a few brown recluses, but they are more common here in GA. I think both are about the same level of poison. I figure I will catch as many as I can and turn...

    Emissions Testing in GA

GA OBD2 testing checks for things: 1. Does the "Check Engine" light work properly? 2. Does the vehicle's Diagnostic Link Connector work properly? 3. Are the vehicle's On-board Readiness Monitors complete? 4. Does the vehicle's PCM have any DTC's stored in memory? 5. Does the gas cap hold pressure?

    Overheating and Coolant Loss

Yeah, that was more directed towards the other guys in this thread. Your situation is a lil different. Are you running a FMIC?

    Overheating and Coolant Loss

Did you guys test your cooling fans? Just a thought. Also check for oil in coolant and vice versa. Also, check both coolant and oil for exhaust gas smell. Headgasket would be like a worst case scenario.

    Oil Filter

Loosen the nut, lock it to an oil filter so that you can use a wrench on the nut to remove the tube. Similar to the way you would go about removing a screw-in stud.

    How to test VTCS?

Damn son you post quick! Just edited my last post with some more rationalization, lol.

    How to test VTCS?

Well, around 3k rpms under light load while driving in vac the car would feel like it was stuttering and the rpms would dip along with vac during the stutters. Mine was a pretty obvious misfire and it even tripped a code at one point. Mostly though, I would only see the misfire in pending codes...

    How to test VTCS?

Man, I'm just messin with you. Guess that was the wrong smiley. Here ya go, lol. (poke) Seriously though crackerjaks, check you plug wires and coil packs. My msp did that and it turned out to be a bad plug wire. Don't run colder plugs if you are stock, it will most likely make it worse.
