2016 CX-5 seems to be sluggish after recent oil change

No, I was not scammed. I bought my own plugs and took them to my independent mechanic and got them changed at 75k. The dealer tried to pull a fast one. All dealers are like this. They will say anything to make a fast buck.

Is there a throttle cable on these cars? Or is it the drive by wire type?

2016 CX-5 seems to be sluggish after recent oil change

They were trying to scam me. I just declined everything they suggested including throttle body cleanup and Fuel system cleaning. I drove the car in the evening today and it seemed a little better, but I am still taking it in on Friday. Maybe they reset something and maybe there is some...

2016 CX-5 seems to be sluggish after recent oil change

I actually found the email with the inspection results where you click on the link under spark plugs recommended and it shows the picture (attached). I doubt those plugs are mine. I had them changed out at 75k with the NGKs for Mazda.

2016 CX-5 seems to be sluggish after recent oil change

The next time I will give the dealer a advanced heads up not to touch the plugs as they are new, so no need of messing with something.

2016 CX-5 seems to be sluggish after recent oil change

Yeah, perhaps they messed something up. During service they showed me a picture of the plugs, but I don't have it anymore. I am going to the dealer on Friday for them to have a look at it. I believe they even looked at the throttle body and said it was dirty, but the car was running perfectly...

2016 CX-5 seems to be sluggish after recent oil change

So, I read the cx-5 manual. It says to wait 5 minutes to allow the oil to settle before checking. I checked the oil a few seconds after I turned of the engine.

2016 CX-5 seems to be sluggish after recent oil change

Just checked the oil level and it and it seems to be over the top-level marking and not just in-between.

2016 CX-5 seems to be sluggish after recent oil change

Well, I thought I noticed the issue when I first got the oil change done about two weeks back. I just re-filled on Friday and still feel the same. This is what they had recommended during their inspection: -Throttle body service -EFI Service (Fuel Injection Cleaning service) -Spark Plugs, they...

Coolant Leak Lawsuit Investigation for the CX-5, CX-9 and Mazda6

So, I see most people posting about the 2.5 turbo. But don't really see anyone posting about the 2.5NA engine (oil leak or cracked head). Just curious if any owners are having this issue with the 2021 CX-5 sport 2.5NA?

2016 CX-5 seems to be sluggish after recent oil change

I took my '16 CX-5 sport to the Mazda dealer recently for a synthetic oil change. Car has about 91k. I feel like the accelerator pedal feel heavier than before. Feels a bit sluggish when accelerating to like 40 mph. They claimed that they used synthetic 0w-20 oil in the engine as it states...

2021 CX-5 Service due in 3600 miles indicator showing when starting

Thats fine to change it 5k, and that's when he'll do his next oil change. But the interval can be one year if you only drive about 5k miles a year?

2021 CX-5 Service due in 3600 miles indicator showing when starting

Yes, but you can also drive up to 10k a year or yearly oil changes on these models from what I understand. Or does the onboard computer figure out driving style, etc. and determine the estimated time left in miles and length for oil change?

2021 CX-5 Service due in 3600 miles indicator showing when starting

So, my brother bought a 2021 CX-5 sport 2.5NA with about 19,150 miles at end of March 2024 from a Honda dealership. The oil change was done by the dealership on 2/29/2024 at 19,090 miles. He drives a few miles a day and not much and now has 20,556 miles on the car. When he starts the car it...

Buy the 2024 CX-5 NA to avoid cylinder head crack issue?

I just happened to check 2024 CX-5s for sale online in south Florida. All the sports I looked at had the 'L' in the eighth digit of VIN. This means cylinder de-activation is not included in these models with 2.5NA. This is the only version I would get if I needed a new CX-5.
