Sticking caliper; check that it is floating. Bad caliper or dirty caliper pins. A hum while spinning in the driveway would point to the wheel bearing. ABS module, Master, or Booster would present pedal issues, unless the master pushrod is sticking, then it could hang up the brakes.

A bad booster will cause the brake pedal to sink to the floor, potentially not stopping the vehicle. A bad ABS module will cause a softer/lower brake pedal, but still stop the vehicle.
