    Yes! Voided Warranty

I can't imagine them doing a half-year revision just to add MP3 to the stereo. Hopefully this is something they addressed.

stupid bling aluminum oil filler cap

did anybody with a 2008 get the plastic cap or was that just 2007?

How-To: Install Cobb Springs + Impressions afterwards.

I have no information regarding the available bump travel of the stock shocks but I'm guessing it's not built to be a long-travel rally car type setup. Hell, even the STI's are severely bump-travel challenged. That's why I chose the Mazdaspeed springs because they seem to have the least drop...

stupid bling aluminum oil filler cap

everytime i change my oil i do it right after a good drive when the oil is hot... taking off that aluminum cap is annoying. Plastic caps are better :) And no, I'm not REALLY upset by this, I just wanted to b**** because it was silly of them to put it on stock when it adds absolutely no...

stupid bling aluminum oil filler cap

has anybody replaced this pointless piece of crap with a proper plastic oilcap from a regular 3? There is no point in making these out of aluminum... doing so only adds weight and ensures that you won't be able to comfortably remove the oil cap after driving unless you have a glove on.

Sounds like he might be asking about increased bumpsteer as well. Rest assured though, unless you change the relative position of the tie-rod balljoint attachment point to the wheel upright or if you change the location of the steering gearbox (aka rack) then the bumpsteer will tend to remain...

    Road Noise

There is nothing in the stock size that will be significantly quieter except maybe the Dunlop SP 5000 or the Kumho SPT.

    Road Noise

There are certain tires on the market that are specifically designed for low road noise. Unfortunately, getting them in the stock size is not possible so if you want to do that, you'll be going with a different tire size. A 17" wheel/tire combo would also go a long way to silencing the car...

    Scrub Radius

Keep in mind that many of the effects you mentioned are also side effects of wider or grippier tires (especially tramlining and steering weight). Also, grippier tires will amplify any increased torquesteer from scrub radius because there's more of a force difference. Measuring scrub radius...

    Buying new - Need advise

Yeah, most people holding down a decent job can afford this car, but what it comes down to is how the money would be better spent and would it truly make your life better to own it. I am not going to suggest that it's not an awesome car...but at your age, with the burden you already have, you...

    Oil Analysis on my Mazdaspeed3

Direct injection allows a car to run significantly leaner than port injection... but that seems a little overboard. I too look forward to more dyno results.

    Rediculous IAT temperatures....

Not handy as I don't have direct access to them. However, don't take what I've said to say that a "CAI" will outperform a Cobb SRI because of cold air. Most of the cold air designs on the market have their own drawbacks, such as long tubes, bends, or poor inlet design that allow the Cobb to...

Cobb cold air box for SRI

I think shortrams tend to have much better throttle response just because it is a lot shorter column of air to have to accelerate when you open the throttle. There is so much less resistance in a shortram that it typically makes up for the loss you see because of the higher temperatures. That...
