    Block heaters anyone

oh, I see. Yes, dealerships can DEFINITELY install non-Mazda parts like a Polar Pad. This thread in fact starts out with the search by a canadian for a block heater since Mazda Canada didn't offer one yet (when it was started). My bump several days ago acknowledges that there is now a Mazda...

    Block heaters anyone

except that you're wrong. Mazda of Canada offers the block heater for the Mazdaspeed 3. It's on their website. It threads direclty into a coolant gallery. There's a picture of it right up above from the vehicle configurator on mazda.ca.

Can you share any pinouts of the radio that you have? I'm looking primarily for the 08.5 or newer Bose head units.

    Block heaters anyone

People definitely didn't stop using them. They are still heavily in use in cold climates. Up north, a lot of businesses even have electrical cords outside so that customers can plug in while they are parked there. Modern block heaters don't heat the oil. They heat the water, which then...

    Block heaters anyone

I see that the block heaters are available from dealerships in canada but not in the USA. I Would kind of like to get one for those super cold mornings that we occasionally get although I just moved to a place with a garage so it really shouldn't be an issue for me. I installed a block heater...

Official Update re: Koni for MS3

that is correct - the adjuster on Konis is meant to be turned axially... with a normal shock (not a strut like the front), there's no way to integrate a knob on a koni mechanism since you have pivot bushings at both ends... so you have to unbolt at least one end and turn it manually. The rep...

    Winter Tires

yeah that sounds about right... plus shipping which was like $80 from the delaware warehouse to my home in Northern VA. So, the wheels were more expensive but the shipping was about $30 less than if I had gotten steelies :-P (Steel wheels weigh like 25 lbs vs like 17-18 for a cheap alloy...

Official Update re: Koni for MS3

FSD are not adjustable. Sport Adjustables (Yellows) are obviously adjustable. They don't say what springrate they are best used for but then, the stock shocks are probably even less suited for aftermarket springs and at least with the Yellows, the rebound is adjustable.

How long do you let your Speed 3 warm up?

Start it and then use the next 10-15 seconds to buckle up, turn on lights, pick something on the iPod, and then go, gently, at least until the coolant temp meter is at its normal position. I really don't like to romp on it until well after the temp needle hits the normal point, just because of...

    Winter Tires

just talked to "Wes" at Tirerack and he claimed the 16" steelies won't fit over the brakes... I asked him if he was sure that it wasn't a TPMS issue since many other people have already used the 16" steelies from tirerack and they fit fine. He told me "sorry if you don't like the answer but...
