    Seats need adjusting every day

Yeah it’s amazing you don’t pay attention to these details until you start bouncing around the question with others. Yes the TSB is useful. Glad it’s me and I don’t have to waste time with the dealer.

    Seats need adjusting every day

Ugh, I just took note how I get in the car. My leg is tapping the button briefly. It’s my fault! The button sticks out and is high so it’s easy to bump. The car also allows adjustment when the ignition is off so a slight bump getting in or out will do it.

    Seats need adjusting every day

Those TSB’s state without power seats. I have power seats. I have no idea how one would change the keyfob programming to alter the seats.

    Seats need adjusting every day

Is it just me or do the seats move overnight? Every single day I feel like the seat is tilted back and I have to move it up so I can lean back in my seat. By now since I’m adjusting it every day you would think I would be at a 45 degree angle face planted in the gauge cluster! But every day...

    Paint protection like simoniz glasscoat

Do you also apply ultimate quick wax to the glass? Is it similar to RainX at that point where water beads away, or do you still use RainX? Worx Hydroshot is $119 at most places. Would love to know where you got it for $45.

2017 CX-5 GS - Can you really not turn entertainment off?

What I miss from my VW is when you turn the car off, the radio keeps playing until you open the drivers side door. Is there anyway to set Mazda Connect to do the same thing?

    Parchment leather

I just got a 2016 CX5 GT with parchment leather. Honestly when car shopping that wasn’t my first choice. I was looking for black leather interiors across many makes and models. When I saw the CX5 I just fell in love with it. I love that two toned look as some dash and door components are...

    Paint protection like simoniz glasscoat

Thanks for your reply. I’m going to do a bit of googling on all the products you mentioned. I think it’s a fascinating art (professional detailing) and open to learn more about it. The top coat I mentioned IS heavily marketed. I see it on social media all the time and watched some of the...

    Paint protection like simoniz glasscoat

What about the product called Top Coat I see videos all the time on Facebook. For only $60 you spray it on and buff it in. It looks pretty easy and it’s only a $60 experiment so I may try that first. Hopefully Mother Nature wakes up and realizes it’s spring. Might get 12” of snow tomorrow...

    2017~2025 New to forum, have a month-old CX-5

Though I am second owner of my CX5, I can tell you when I got a new Catalytic converter on my VW GTI, it stank for about 1500 miles. It was most noticeable when sitting in traffic or at lights when the smell just wallowed on up.

    Paint protection like simoniz glasscoat

Where can I find someone around me that would do it professionally? What should I be googling. I tried auto detailing near me but none of them specify ceramic coatings.

Front window tint on 2017-2018 Mazda CX-5

In PA 70% of light must pass through. I had a VW golf like 15 years ago that was tinted down to 35%. The cops would fine me $105 each time. After I paid such “tint tax” 3 times I took the fronts off (that’s all they cared about). I can’t stand the archaic tint laws in our state. I wrote...

    Paint protection like simoniz glasscoat

Hey I’m curious if anyone’s invested in a paint protectant package from a dealer or other third party on their Mazda. I’ve read a few concerns posted across the internet somewhat criticizing the durability on the paint used on their Mazda. I just got a 2016 CX5 Grand Touring in Titanium Flash...

New CX5 2016 owner. MPG & Avg speed question

I would have loved one with a LCD display in the right circle rather than a multi-segment LCD. I think that’s on the 2016.5’s with adaptive cruise control right? They just didn’t have one of those in my price range. Though I love the car it drives nice and maybe next time we’ll have to see...

New CX5 2016 owner. MPG & Avg speed question

Ah yes that one the salesman showed me! I like how it appears there’s an unlimited number of favorites. Maybe there is a limit, but if there is I haven’t reached it yet. I did notice you can turn the knob that also doubles as a trip reset. It did look like from the indicator that it has to...

New CX5 2016 owner. MPG & Avg speed question

Thanks everyone! That worked. I didn’t realize the button was more than a simple rocker switch. I also found the setting in the app to sync with tripA. I only had the car for a week and I haven’t had a lot of free time to browse the manual too much yet, posting here was easy to do on my...

New CX5 2016 owner. MPG & Avg speed question

Hello all. I just picked up a 2016 CX5 Grand Touring last Monday. I am curious how the average speed and MPG is calculated. It never seems to change. Since I picked it up it always says 27 mph for average speed and 24.2 for MPG. I can change the info to display current MPG and that does in...

2016 SiriusXM Xtra channels (Ch 300+)

Thats so strange. I understand my 11 year old car, or the original aftermarket Sirius Sportster we used In my Wifes 2003 Escape (sold last summer). But the 2016 Mazda has a pretty nice, modern system, I expected more. The VW Passat, CC, Jetta and Tiguan I drove as loaner cars in the past year...

2016 SiriusXM Xtra channels (Ch 300+)

Hello, Since I got my 2016 CX-5 Grand Touring, I was wondering if the SiriusXM radio can receive the Xtra channels. Im on a free trial currently and it seems the channel numbers dont go higher than the upper 200s. Im specifically looking for some of the channels in the 300s range. My old car...
