    OEM Xenon Conversion 2008-2010 Mazda5?

Comments only based on experience of watching people do this on the Mazda 3, not personally. You can skip the leveling controls if you want, just bear in mind that if you weigh down the back of the car the lights are going to point upwards and give some glare to oncoming drivers. If the 5 is...

    Adjusting emergency brake

Also bear in mind the rear calipers don’t operate the same way as the front ones when changing out the pads. The front calipers you just compress the piston with a clamp, and when everything is reassembled they reset their position the first time you use them. On the rear calipers the piston...

    Need Stiffer Rear Coils

I couldn’t find anything for the 5 on summit racing, however I did find some promising info. CarID .com lists a Firestone ride-rite air helpEr spring replacement air bag for the Mazda5, though the actual full kit they have doesn’t list the Mazda5, nor does it specify which size bag comes with...

    Need Stiffer Rear Coils

Don’t get me wrong, I love our 5. It was my daily driver for about 5 years. Now it’s my au pair’s daily driver, and our vacation vehicle to hold three adults and three kids. As my sisters love to say (one owns a 1st gen 5) the 5 is the ultimate compromise vehicle. It can hold stuff, it can...

    Show me your roof box!

Thule Motion XT XXL rooftop on 47” Thule aero bars. I didn’t do the OEM Mazda rack because I preferred the aero bars after experiencing the wind noise on my sister’s 5 with he OEM square bar. I went with the longer bars vs. the slightly lower profile aeroblade because I wanted the extra...

    Show me your roof box!

I don’t have a moonroof in my 5, but how high does it stick up? Doesn’t it retract inside the car when it’s open?

    Right rear axle(?) greasy

Agreed, replace the rear shocks. Go ahead and do the mounts at the same time, maybe the lower bushings too. No reason to not replace it while you have it apart. Replacement is easy if you have some basic tools. -jack up the rear of the car and place on stands -remove the rear wheels -remove...

    Need Stiffer Rear Coils

Subbing for what you figure out. I think every Mazda 5 owner has the same problem/concern about the vehicle’s ability to be loaded down with stuff. The first gen was worse, but the second gen got slightly stiffer springs for the back. Many first gen owners have swapped out the springs for the...

New Mazda5 owner! Couldn't be happier!

Assuming it comes back on after you reset it it’s a pretty easy fix. Did this on my sister’s ‘08 Mz5 last summer. Ordered the part from Rockauto, rented (core fee) the socket from local parts store. Put some PB blaster on the sensor a day before I went to do the job, and it came right off...

    Mazda 5

I’m also curious if the problem goes away after it happens at speed, or if it persists while you’re continuing to go fast. Had a failing fuel pump in my old Mz3 which did the same... take it above 55 and it would hesitate. Take it above 65 and it would buck and try to stall.

    2012 Mazda5 Questions

The rear caliper pistons on these Mazda’s are compressed and turned to make space for the new pads. Once you finish your brake job you need to pump the hand brake multiple times to work the piston back out to the correct position. Usually 10-15 times until it feels snug. If you haven’t done...

    Mazda5 replacement mirrors. Same as 3, 6?

Nope, all of them have different size/shape mirrors. I suppose it’s possible you might be able to swap an entire housing from one to the other, but you would probably need to do some fiddling.

    HELP!

Just to confirm, it is trying to turn over when you crank? Not just a click and the lights turn off? If the prior I agree with everyone else.... double check that the battery is good, jump start if needed, or if you have a second car you can take the battery out and take it to an auto parts...
