    Automatic Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch

I'm not sure how reasonable that price is, but the car needed fixing. I could get one of those fluid pressure switches/solenoids from Rockauto for about $63 so unless it was hella-difficult to access and replace, I probably could have done it myself and saved $150. At least this way though, I...

    It's brake time

Any updates on the Centric High Carbon rotors? I'm interested to know since I'm considering them for my Mz5 when the time comes. Thanks.

    Mazda5 Shopping - Overly Noisy Engine (2013 Touring - 25k miles)

Maybe you just need a new tensioner pulley. I have heard that the cheap stock plastic pulley can rattle a bit. Wouldn't be surprised.

    Automatic Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch

On Monday, I took our 2008 Mz5 to the shop for a transmission issue. Car was not shifting between gears smoothly, especially 3rd to 4th. There would be a bit of a lurch, especially if giving it the gas like to merge on the highway. Car was holding revs too long when shifting 1st to 2nd as...

    It's brake time

I'm in Vermont so when I replaced front and rear rotors on our 2008 Mz5 at ~62k miles the hubs were quite rusty. I had a helluva time getting front rotors off actually. I had to beat them with a 4lb mallet until they shattered and then I could pry them off with a claw hammer. Pic of ruined...

2012+ Mazda5 Sport Front Splash Guards Installation

I had installed these on the front of our 2008 Mz5. After a couple years of winter abuse the white clip that fits into that plugged hole you mentioned became loose and kept popping out. I eventually removed them both before the jiggly splash guards wore down the paint along the front wheel...

What size speakers did you buy. Different for the front/back? Thanks.

    It's brake time

How many miles are on your current rotors? Are they original to the car? Why not just get better rotors that are going to stand up to your EBC pads for longer? That's what I would have done in the first place unless the rotors on the car now are nearly new. Centric high carbon are a good...

2010 CWP Mazda5: Our family hauler a year later - still smitten!

We loved our 2008 Mz5 so much that we bought another one in 2012. Now, with 2, we're a Mazda5 family. Mine is always more clean and shiny than my wife's Mz5.

I'm not interested in replacing a head unit but could anyone recommend some direct fit replacement speakers that won't break the bank? Product numbers or links most appreciated. Thanks.

Refilling ATF for 2012+ - how many quarts?

Check out my post from nearly 1 year ago detailing my full 10qt. Trans fluid flush and installation of a transmission cooler on my 2012 Mz5. I bought Valvoline Import M-V (multi vehicle) full synthetic trans fluid by the gallon via Amazon. My car at the time had about 25K miles...

    LED Daytime Running Lights

I also would like to know this answer. From looking at the product images of these LED DRL inserts there doesn't appear to be any place to reattach the plastic covers for the fog light openings found on the Mz5 Sport.

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

2008 Mz5 with 81k miles was running a bit rough at cold startup recently. Cleaned the MAF sensor with CRC MAF sensor cleaner and cleaned the throttle body with CRC throttle body cleaner and it took care of the problem. It worked so well that I did the same things to my 2012 Mz5 with 37k miles...

How long should it take to replace front struts/bearings?

I replaced the rear shocks on our 2008 with KYB gas a just and the front struts with KYB GR2. Much improved ride and smooth over bumps. Not too expensive via Rockauto.

    Spark plugs

I recently changed the plugs in our 2008 MZ5 at 80K miles. The originals were Denso iridium. I replaced then with Denso Iridium TT from Rockauto for $5.62 ea. Car runs great!

    Bottom end? Need opinions

As it is now with the Transit Connect wagons, Ford simply does not offer their long wheelbase seven passenger wagon with the Ecoboost engine. It's not even an option. That's a deal breaker for me.

Vibration when braking and new rotors

Was the car bought from a private seller or from a dealer? Did you test drive it first and, if so, was the vibration evident then? Did you mention this brake vibration to the seller and get some $ taken off the price? 79K km isn't all that much, really, so I'm guessing original rotors and...
