    Rear brake job price reasonable?

What is the minimum thickness for the OEM discs (rear) on this vehicle? I'm only eyeballing it but it isn't seem like it's that bad but I honestly don't know. Curious of the front as well.

    Rear brake job price reasonable?

So the pads are at 3 mm but the technician said the discs are at their minimum they didn't actually say how many mm. I followed up with the service manager. Sounds like at the dealership or this guy who did my transmission service, neither would change out or do anything with the brake lines or...

    Rear brake job price reasonable?

Ya, I just missed a 10% off that had expired a couple of weeks ago at the dealership.

    Rear brake job price reasonable?

I'll have to ask in the thickness of the rotors. They must have been referring to the pads that's a good point. And they said they cannot use the value line because I have an e-brake. Other dealerships were higher by 100 or more. I know the one that gave me the quote for $509 said they do...

    Rear brake job price reasonable?

Ya, prices have really gone up over the past few years. Just got an AC replacement estimate for my condo. Basically doubled. Yikes! $11k. LOL

    Rear brake job price reasonable?

They're at 3mm which is recommended replacement. I'm sure up and down mountain roads is a contributor. There has been a little bit of pulsing going on for a bit as well.

    Rear brake job price reasonable?

Well, my discs are down to 3 mm so they cannot turn them. That would be savings right there. And presumably Akebono which I think have a higher price tag but people seem to like.

    Rear brake job price reasonable?

Yes I did mean discs and pads. Some of that wear is coming down from a buddies place who lives up on the mountains. A reasonable elevation drop with a lot of switchbacks. Another dealership wanted $620. And a private place I think was around $500 and something. Unfortunately I don't have a set...

    Rear brake job price reasonable?

My local Mazda dealership quoted me $509 for new standard OEM, not value line, brake job on the rear. Just short of 85k miles. This is new disks and pads. I'm down to 3. Fronts are at 5 yet. Presumably OEM is Akebono. They don't seem to be clear here. However that does not include a brake fluid...

Need retaining clip for roof rail cover (2016.5 CX-5)

Have a 2016.5 CX-5. Opted for the manual car wash today and blew off the back right rear roof rail piece (rear passenger side). I can see the small retainer clip that holds it in place rusted out is why. Anyone know where to find these clips? And why aren't they rust proof. Ha... Pic below of...

Where's the best place to buy Mazda map updates?

Must be a one year update card. I looked on Amazon but didn't find one that actually said three years.

Where's the best place to buy Mazda map updates?

Looks like the BHP166EZ1T card at that link. My OEM card has BHP166EZ1E. Year vehicle looks correct at the link but my infotainment is built into the dash. They have both versions, they refer to, as the external or tablet type screen. (2016.5 CX-5)

Where's the best place to buy Mazda map updates?

Agree totally. At least Google Maps. I like to have a backup option (if the price is right). Once in a while I'm in a location it might come in handy.
