What did you pay for your CX-5?

44,800 for a non turbo? You definitely were swindled. Did you get extended warranties and other add ons?

Class action settlement for defective exhaust valve seals/oil burning 2021 CX-5 CX-9 2.5T etc

I am hopeful I will either move on to another car before I get to 84mths/84k miles, or don't have the issue crop up in that time. I have yet to get a low oil warning in my 28k miles. 5k interval oil changes are done at the dealership.

2018 CX-5 Paint issues with Rear Spoiler

Why not ask? They may do a goodwill repair. If not, at least that part can be removed and painted on its own. Less chance of over spray.

    Fading/Cracking clear coat (2018 CX-5)

This is the big question. Is the car outside, or garaged? Is it washed and waxed regularly? I have had zero issues with my Machine Grey cars. 19 and 21 have both been great, but they are garaged and get a spray wax every time they get washed, which is weekly.

Bulb replacement question (2021 CX-5 GT)

I changed the front and rear turn signals and interior lights on my 21 GTR. The front bulbs needed an external resistor. The rears are bulbs with a built-in resistor. They have worked perfectly for over 3yrs. Interior bulbs were just swap and play. No issues at all. Full LED on the CX-5 now.

CX-5 Turbo Owners…Who has the red badge?

New grill design for 22 and up. Silly they dropped it for 24.

March 2024 7th generation Mazda Connect navigation map update

I suppose the suggestion above is the best way. Just check the Mazda Toolbox a couple of times a year (or monthly if you really want them ASAP). If it's available, you will find out right away.

Need advice on 2020 CX-5 Signature purchase

Agreed. My 21 has not had the issue - as of yet (27k miles).

Need advice on 2020 CX-5 Signature purchase

I will say there is a notable quality difference from many who post on the CX-50 vs CX-5 as the 50 is built in Alabama and the 5 is built in Japan. Make sure you drive both well.

The Never-ending Question...What happens to the CX-5 Next Year (2025)?

This is what Calisto says on the other CX-5 forum. That the power ratings Mazda gives are not standardized, so they are not really an accurate measure against other manufacturers. I have not seen anyone post their findings with a personal 2.5T.

The Never-ending Question...What happens to the CX-5 Next Year (2025)?

It just seems it would be better to say the 187hp is achieved on 87, thus no need to pay for premium to get the most out of your car.

The Never-ending Question...What happens to the CX-5 Next Year (2025)?

But that has nothing to do with the NA 2.5. This is a Mazda press release and the 2.5 has been around for eons. Why would anyone NOT know the engine uses 87 octane?

The Never-ending Question...What happens to the CX-5 Next Year (2025)?

If 93 is the same as 87, 89 and 91 would be the same as well, right?

The Never-ending Question...What happens to the CX-5 Next Year (2025)?

This was interesting from the release: "CX-5 2.5 S models feature Mazda's Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter, four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with cylinder deactivation. This efficient powertrain delivers up to 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque with either regular 87 octane or premium 93 octane...

Need advice on 2020 CX-5 Signature purchase

Sounds like you aren't really thrilled with this car. I would keep looking. Used prices are plummeting in the states. I would think Canada will follow this trend.

The Never-ending Question...What happens to the CX-5 Next Year (2025)?

It would make sense the CX-50 would use a 2.5 as the 2.0 hybrid used in the Corolla Cross is under 200hp. The RAV4 Hybrid's engine specs: 2.5-Liter Dynamic Force 4-Cylinder with SPORT, Eco, NORMAL, EV, * TRAIL drive modes; 219 combined net hp; internal combustion engine with 176 hp @ 5,300...

The Never-ending Question...What happens to the CX-5 Next Year (2025)?

Just saw an article about the 2025 CX-50 which gets a midcycle update and will add the Toyota hybrid powertrain. Supposedly will have 219hp and get 38MPG combined. They will still offer the 2.5l as the base engine and 2.5T at the top end...
