2025 Mazda CX-5 Front and Rear Foglight Retrofit

I would not expect there is a wiring harness for foglights as they are not offered as of 2022 as far as I know. It would all be aftermarket.

How to fix rip in CX-5 interior?

I would think if you are close to a major city you could find a repair shop as well.

    2025 CX-5 Seat Comfort Concerns

Yeah, I always tell people to be careful with the decision to buy a premium car as it is hard to go back. I personally have not had too much trouble but I do miss my Boxster. Nothing since has had the total package. Cost is my problem with P-cars. I had a 2002 and when it was time to trade...

Help! Dropped engagement ring into 2024 CX-5 Defroster vent

Reminds me of Tommy Boy when Chris Farley dumped a bag of M&M's into David Spade's defrost vents....

    What's next for the CX-5?

Promising to read the one post which said it would be about 5" longer. I would like it to be ~189" and have a larger backseat. The rear seat legroom is one of the CX-5's downfalls. If they can get the new 8-sp into it and keep top power at 250hp or higher they will have a winner.

    Difference between 2021 CX-5 Turbo and 2025 CX-5 Turbo?

What do you mean? It is still a Mazda CX-5 with the 2.5T. Of course we have no idea what the conditions were for each run (i.e. was it super hot for one and cool for the other?) It always seems to me when cars at the end of the model run are tested, they are slower than earlier years. I...

Did Mazda make a mid year engine change?

I am hoping they DON'T use the Toyota powertrain. Not a fan of CVT's. I understand they will be making their own hybrid using a 2.5L and battery. I would like to see the hybrid powertrain out of the CX-90 in the new CX-5. That would make a pretty quick ride.

Did Mazda make a mid year engine change?

Excellent. That may explain why the plastic cover and some of the plumbing looks different. The key it, it doesn't have any more power than before. Whenever that happens they adjust the info. Look at the Mazda 3 for example. It used to have 186hp like the CX-5. Now it's listed at 191hp. They do...

Did Mazda make a mid year engine change?

I get that but again, does it say anywhere on the window sticker that anything is different? I just looked up a 2025 CX-5 PP window sticker and this is what is listed: Engine & Mechanical: SKYACTIV-G 2.5L ENGINE W/CYLINDER DEACTIVATION 187 HORSEPOWER; 185 LB-FT TORQUE...

Did Mazda make a mid year engine change?

Yeah, I saw that too. Would it make any sense for Mazda to put a new, upgraded motor in an outgoing 2025 model and not mention it at all? I have a 2020 Nissan Frontier which was right at the end of the production of the 2nd gen truck. They put the current drivetrain into the older body for...

    CX-5 Auto Braking

The only time it ever happened in my car was on the interstate in heavy traffic. Cars stopped suddenly in front of me and the system activated. Worked well other than the Jetta behind me which had to swerve and move to the break down lane to the side of me to avoid hitting me. The other...

    2025 CX-5 Seat Comfort Concerns

And yet they took the time and effort to redesign the floor of the cargo area in 22. That one made no sense to me at all.

    2025 CX-5 Seat Comfort Concerns

The seats were updated in 22 according to Mazda. They look identical so I suspect they did something with the internal padding.

    Remote Start Frustration

Very cheesy that you only have it included for 3yrs. I no longer have it on my 21. Not going to pay extra for a function which came with the car when I bought it....

Class action settlement for defective exhaust valve seals/oil burning 2021 CX-5 CX-9 2.5T etc

I see in the post above, the 10yr/120k estension is only for 16-20 cars with the 2.5T. 21 and up are not covered. Hopefully this means the 21 and up are not going to develop the issue.

Class action settlement for defective exhaust valve seals/oil burning 2021 CX-5 CX-9 2.5T etc

The extension is only for the valve seals. It doesn't cover a cracked head beyond 60k.

Class action settlement for defective exhaust valve seals/oil burning 2021 CX-5 CX-9 2.5T etc

Doesn't the head crack cause both in both engines? Also, no class action settlement on the cracked heads for either motor.

Class action settlement for defective exhaust valve seals/oil burning 2021 CX-5 CX-9 2.5T etc

There are two different issues at play here. The one which was settled with the class action is for the valve stem seals (2.5T motors only) which caused loss of oil. There is another issue, cracked heads due to a casting defect, which is NOT covered under the class action (this occurs in both...

2024 CX-5 middle console latch replacement

You likely have to buy the entire console hatch. I have never seen a post about one breaking before. I have 50k on two different current gen CX-5s with no issues.

    Looking at a CPO 2024 CX-5…Need Advice

I agree it seems like a good deal,. That is the top of the line version and has tons of warranty left (even better than new with the CPO). I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if it hasn't been wrecked.
