@MG1066, you have a CX-50 in the UK? Is it an imported US model?

You realize that if you keep the same rims but add taller tires, your speedometer (and odometer) will then read lower speed/distance than actual, right?

Can you suggest a particular type/brand or better, a link? I need to take (regular) silicone off something, and I was unaware of anything that would remove it.

The exact placement depends on the model, but yes you have the right area.

The turbo CX-50s have iStop, so I'd bet it'll be (re)introduced on the turbo CX-5s again, if not already. As others have said, it resets each time the engine is started, but you can buy a fairly cheap plug-in module (~$30'ish) to disable it always. I did that for my CX-50 - I hated the iStop...

Silicone lubricants are probably your best bets for plastics.

I'm SO glad Mazda removed them. They are useless for real fog and only get used by wannabees. The glare is so annoying when approaching a car with them on, on wet roads.

Just use vinegar straight. The 'mix' was for Barkeeper's Friend (which is a powder). But wipe it dry as soon as you can after waiting 15-30 mins, and then spray WD-40 immediately after that to displace any remaining moisture.

The kit is for wired, but once you've installed it, you can then buy a cheap wireless adapter puck that just plugs into the car USB port. I got this one for the wife's car and it works just fine. It's actually tiny (the pics make it look huge) but there are MANY others to choose from...
