    100k Service requirements?

What model year? There is a section in the manual that goes over what service to perform at what mileage. Go by what the manual says and you're good to go. Share the model year and I can look it up if you don't have the manual. edit: I snooped in your post history and looks like you have a...

Ticking sound from drivers side wheel well

In an earlier post he said it was likely a bad rear wheel bearing. Heard a grinding noise when they turned the back wheel. There was no confirmation though.

2012 AT TC lights w/ hard bump, subsequent AT failure

Went through this with my 09 this summer. The TCM is intermittently failing doe to overheating. That hard jerk feeling is the car going into limp mode which is 3rd gear, regardless of speed. Before coming to the conclusion on my car, I read countless forums of people having the same...

    Phantom Hazard Lights/Switch

Could you report back when you're done with a short write-up on how to remove it? Mine has been acting up (2009 GT) and I'm hoping there's a way to get it out without pulling the stereo.

Cooling fan not working on Mazda5 2.0 2006

Did you buy it privately or from a dealer? Dealer, call them up and ask nicely what they can do for you. Privately, the responsibility is on you to inspect the car beforehand for any problems. Probably not going to get anything back unless they misrepresented the car.

Mazda 5 - still having problems and weird symptoms after TCM replacement

Not really clear from the post but did you change the transmission fluid and the filter in the transmission pan? If so, what kind of fluid did you use and how did the pan filter look? Sounds like the TCM is working correctly. If you don't have any warning lights now, getting good fluid in...

Depends on the reader, won't hurt to try and readers are inexpensive if you don't already have one.

    Transmission problems 2008 Mazda5

No special tools, hardest part was taking out the battery tray because of the tight fit. Have you hooked up a code reader? It should give you any recent codes so you can confirm if you're getting the U101.

    Transmission problems 2008 Mazda5

Forgot to mention, this is also common with 3's so if you are looking for videos on how to reach the TCM, there are a lot of people showing how to do it on mazda 3's. Replacement TCM also requires no programming but 3 and 5 TCM's are not interchangeable.

    Transmission problems 2008 Mazda5

Have a similar problem with my 2009 that started last week. Went to back out of garage and felt a HARD shift going into Reverse. Check engine and AT lights immediately came in. Pulled a U101 code which means the transmission lost communication with the TCM (Transmission computer). Some...

    2009 Mazda5 Steering Issues

Hasn't happened to me before but it sounds like something may be binding when you turn. I'd suspect the steering column or tie rod ends. There are bellows on the tie rods that could be torn and binding up when turning. Also a joint in the steering column could be worn/dry. If you're not...

    Code P0451 EVAP (Mazda5)

It could also be the purge valve solenoid, pretty sure it's located under the hood no drvr side of engine. No personal experience but there is a specific method of testing it out that involves blowing through it to see if it's clogged or not. Would be easier to rule that out than to drop the...

Same here not being able to use aftermarket wipers. Mazda puts some special curve in the arm that matches the back window.

Longevity of 2013 Mazda5? I have 75k, thinking of trading it.

This is only my first Mazda but the impression I get so far and from this forum is that as long as you keep up on oil / transmission fluid changes they'll be solid. The suspension seems to be the main problem area as it's under-built for the weight of the 5. Seems like the front and rear...

Whistling after drive belt replacement - recommendations?

Is it speed or RPM dependent? If you're in park and revving the engine does it sound normal? If it's dependent on how fast you're going it's probably not a belt problem. More likely to be a loose splash shield or failing wheel bearing if that's the case.

Resident Physician Help ME! My Mazda5 keeps dying.

Why not try switching the halogen bulbs back in? You said yourself that the problems started after putting in HID's when your car's not designed for them. Also let us know what the check engine code ends up being. The electrical and stalling problems could be unrelated.
