    What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

    Washed and vacuumed the car last night. This way the first time in 2 years the car saw a vacuum :) Now need to get down and dirty and clean the brake dust build up from the wheels, that will be one dirty job.

    It works but such a giant hassle. To me, better to disconnect one hose, drain all old fluid and fill new in one step, takes few extra minutes on the initial change but saves having to deal two more times.

    Check that you are getting a good ground first on that module to be sure, with time, rust can build up around the grounds and cause similar issue, lost communication with TCM. (as per the code you provided)

    Most likely a TCM failed. Check first for good power and ground going to it. 80% it is just a complete transmission control module failure if power and ground ok.     Hit 150k km the other day, new oil, plugs, belt, gas.... Maybe will even ash it one day soon :)

    Where does the blue wire in the aftermarket antenna adapter connect to..?

    From someone one Mazda 6: The mysterious blue wire should go to a 12-volt source that is only active in the accessory or run key positions. It supplies power to the RF amp module for the antenna wires, I just wired it to the red ignition wire behind the radio. Not sure same one the 5.

    Kinda bad but after about a week was doing the front brakes an noticed grease coming out from the boot. Front boot got a rip in it from the pinch being too tight or catching the rubber.

    System Too Lean Off Idle Bank 1 is what your code is now. You could easily have had multiple issues but unrelated. Try this first, buy a can of MAF cleaner, and clean your MAF before you do any more. If you have a scanner, check the freeze frame and see when this code is being thrown out...

    Don't forget to add insulation matt to the foof. I also removed all the seats, and carpet and put that material on all the floor, helps a lot.
