CX-5 2019 GT Turbo oil filter model ?

Its official, for the 2019 CX5 Turbo in the GTR and Signature you will need oil filter PY8W-14-302. I completed the change this morning and that was the filter on there from the factory. The crush washer part number is 9956-41-400.

CX-5 2019 GT Turbo oil filter model ?

To clarify because Im about to order my filter... is the correct filter the 1WPE-14-302 or the PY8W-14-302. Honestly Im only asking because the 1WPE one is saying for non-turbo.

Anyone cross shop the CX-5 with a Subaru Outback?

I traded in my 15 Outback Limited for the 19 CX5 Signature. Sometime I do miss the Outback, but its rare lol. The CVT in mine had a couple of problems throughout the 40k miles I had it. There were TSB fixes, reprogramming, and at one point a pan drop to replace the seal which had failed...

    2019 Signature Vibration/Shake

I guess at least they are doing something. Maybe my dealer wouldve been more helpful had I not already swapped the tires to something else. Once they realized the other CX5 turbos on their lot were doing the same thing they classified it as normal. I went off in the email to my corporate case...

    2019 Signature Vibration/Shake

Ill say whatever it is the Michelins definitely resolved most of it. My theory is that we have such thin tires on the 19 wheels, theyre flat spotting slightly overnight. The suspension is much more sensitive than the average vehicle to this flat spotting. The Michelins dont flat spot as bad or...

    2019 Signature Vibration/Shake

Id like to add I think its temperature driven. Now that temperatures have increased here I feel the vibration ever so slightly. The Michelins definitely killed the majority of it and often times its not present. But I take the same route to and from work every day. Some days I feel it, some days...

What features do you miss from the car you traded for the CX5?

My Subaru Outback had automatic dimming mirror(s) not just the one inside the car. So that was nice when someone had extremely bright headlights it would dim all mirrors automatically. Other than that I miss nothing about that car, the CX5 Signature is miles ahead.

    2019 Signature Vibration/Shake

When this happens, will someone please shift into neutral to lower revs to idle and see if the vibration persists. I did try this while having my shake issue as I thought it could be related. It was not the case for me. The Michelins are the only thing that made a difference. To this day...

Very faint high pitched "mosquito" sound

I have either the same or similar whine, its primarily under acceleration. Started at about your same mileage, Im at 2k now and its there off and on. I believe it to be the turbo because its primarily noticeable under mild acceleration in 5-6 gear. By mild I mean Im trying to accelerate but...

    2019 GT-R Engine Performance Question

I drove both the NA and the turbo. I went with the signature turbo. Ive had Lexus, Acura, and Subaru. I have 1500 miles on the CX5. The turbo is 100% worth it. Also its probably one of the best shifting transmissions Ive had. The power is there right when you need it, no gear hunting or...

    2019 Signature Vibration/Shake

Unknown really... I mean the dealer had me test drive another CX5 Signature and it did it. Then they reported to Mazda Corp they test drove another and it did the same. I will say it seemed lesser on the one I test drove but still there. Its been a few days and a lot of highway driving on the...

    2019 Signature Vibration/Shake

Resolution: After dealing with this since new, the resolution was to go from Toyo A36, Continental TrueContact Tour, to finally Michelins Premier LTX tire. The Michelins fixed the issues entirely. Discount tire showed me how other manufactures piece together their tires in strips of 8-9 inches...

    2019 Signature Vibration/Shake

Im starting to believe the same thing. I just need it to be better than what it is currently. Right now I just avoid going on the highway on my way to work, long story but the alternative city route is just as fast. Nothing from Mazda Corp or the dealer yet. But they did confirm the hotline...

    2019 Signature Vibration/Shake

Status Update: Saw dealer last Wednesday at 8am. Was told by a rep there would hear within 24 hours. Have heard nothing so I contacted customer care today. This is what followed. Thank you for your patience John. I contacted the service adviser "Jesus" at Cardinaleway Mazda and was advised...

    2019 Signature Vibration/Shake

Im curious what happens in your case. So far the dealer has not heard back from Mazda Corp hotline. They will call again Monday for status. After changing the tires and feeling it in the test drive of the brand new one they had me do, Im concerned its normal. But even so the dealer agreed it...
