I hope it is solved for everyone, oil rise, but why has it taken 5 years, and way didn't everyone pre 2017 have the oil rise issue. Back in 2013 even those doing mainly motorway driving were suffering with oil rise issues. That's why I really hope the US gets the diesel, it will soon be...

I won't believe that its cured until I own a 2017 onwards myself. I have oil rise on a 2013 and 2015 car.

Have a look on the facebook site for UK owners a few posts on there of interest with engine issues.

He does have a full Mazda service history so if it is related to a known issue, Mazda traditionally offer a large percentage of the cost. I intend to keep mine past the warranty period but with a Mazda warranty....

The affected VIN number for possible camshaft problems is up to number 163230 as long as it start with JMZKE

You need to check if your car is within the vin number range that was affected with premature wear on the Vacuum brake pump, and cam. If you are out of that vin range, have you had the air filter and fuel filter changed per schedule, 3 years for the fuel filter.

Uk only gets a petrol or hybrid, no diesel so I don't see me buying one, CRV already has 9 speeds in the UK but doesn't appear to gain any fuel savings, or give added performance, I get the impression that the gears are needed to help a poor diesel engine with a narrow power band, and its only 1.6
