    Turbo: nobody home?

Never had that happen, with the diesel I had the highest it would rev in auto was 4.5K in kickdown which if I remember correctly for a 2015 car is max power. Red line was 5.2K, the auto mapping should prevent any over revving.

    Turbo: nobody home?

I believe the 2.5T only has one turbo? When I had the cx-5 diesel that had 2, and lag or loss of response to the throttle was practically non existent, floor it in any gear with in reason and it would accelerate, however since I've owned The Tiguan with only one turbo I've noticed a definite...

California Exhaust Law has changed- for the worst

Certainly not. My SIL had a 6 cyl merc petrol that sounded great on full acceleration, it had a switch or something that he could switch on to increase volume. It sounded sweet not like the boy racer with their pathetic engines with horrible sounding exhaust notes, all noise and no speed.

How long should the windscreen take to demist?

Its to prevent the wipers freezing to the screen.

How long should the windscreen take to demist?

This is the only time I've had misting issues, when I had left to recirculating.

    2019 XC40 vs 2019 CX-5 Signature

I'm getting that on my now built Tiguan, apparently the new display is the same in VW and Audi now. Its one reason for me buying one.

    2019 XC40 vs 2019 CX-5 Signature

I agree separate aircon controls are a must. I won't be bothering to test a xc40 due to the dead feel steering, its unacceptable to me as it kills the driving enjoyment. Also don't think the cx-5 turbo sounds that great either from that video, I can honestly say my diesel sounds great under...

True max torque at the start with electric motors used.

Super dissatisfied with the CX-5 2.5 Turbo Part 2

Thanks to all those who replied to my last post. I agree those torque figures are excellent, actually better than the 190ps Vag diesel I've ordered which only gives 295 from 1900 to 3300 rpm, which is plenty for my use, but the 2.5T blows it away. Shame we don't see the NA 2.5 so not much...

Super dissatisfied with the CX-5 2.5 Turbo Part 2

So the 310 torque is a peak only like the diesel car, but the petrol drops off a lot quicker, seems strange to me as most other turbo petrol's give max torque over a very wide band.

Super dissatisfied with the CX-5 2.5 Turbo Part 2

Does anyone know the rev band that the max torque is given over, or is it like the Mazda diesel with a peak point of probably 100 rpm. Most turbo petrol cars I've looked at would have max torque over a wide band, not just a peak reading.

Super dissatisfied with the CX-5 2.5 Turbo Part 2

So did my 1999 180bhp Audi 1.8T, 180 was available with premium fuel, and less with lower octane, so its nothing new. I used the cheap stuff 90% of the time.

Super dissatisfied with the CX-5 2.5 Turbo Part 2

You wouldn't expect supercar performance from a twin turbo diesel either, the attraction to me is the effortless hill climbing along with good acceleration, I don't need to be thrown back into the seat to enjoy a car.

2019 2.5L Turbo, 310lbs of torque and towing capability?

310 torque in the UK diesel tows 2100kg. But the new model has seen the nose weight limit reduced from 88kg to 84kg. Other countries appear to have some weird rules with such as Australia requiring 10% of the MTPLM, caravan gross weight. we only aim for 5 to 7%.
