    New 2017 CX-5 Revealed

    Nope-very Mazda-esque; remember BMW is a foolish person's Mazda.

I hope Mazda did some real good stuff for 2017...

It's clear that Honda has made no progress over Mazda in terms of performance. 🙄

    New 2017 CX-5 Revealed

Yrwei: You seem to be too committed to the idea that Mazda doesn't listen to US customers and what they want. See: http://insidemazda.mazdausa.com/the-mazda-way/cars-for-drivers/five-things-you-may-not-know-next-generation-cx-5/ Regarding heated rear seats, see under the heading "We Listened...

    New 2017 CX-5 Revealed

What basis do you have for this supposed reliability concern?

    New 2017 CX-5 Revealed

I know! It's just like how the redesigned CR-V only has a 4 way power passenger seat and no heated rear seats! Lame!

    New 2017 CX-5 Revealed

I sat in a 2017 CR-V yesterday. It's got some nice features (though no heated rear seat or HUD like the '17 CX-5 - c'mon, Honda!), but I couldn't shake the impression of how cheap and tinny it felt even compared with my '16 CX-5.

    New 2017 CX-5 Revealed

Dougal, The new CX-5 has nothing that sets it apart? Let's consider that it has: G-vectoring control (not the same as torque vectoring systems) True, predictive AWD Active driving display Superior quality interior Power passenger seat with height and power lumbar adjustment and more...

    New 2017 CX-5 Revealed

There's a professional tuner/moderator on vtec.net (named Shawn Church or notyper) who has brought it up. He knows a thing or two about engines. If he's concerned, potential buyers should be too.

    New 2017 CX-5 Revealed

I might consider the new CR-V if: 1) its interior didn't look so cheap compared with that of the CX-5 and 2) if I hadn't heard of reliability issues people are already having with the 1.5T. It's in the Civic. The wonderful Honda of old is gone.

All-New 2017 Mazda CX-5 To Be Previewed At Novembers Los Angeles Auto Show?

No. It's just speculation. This is the first second generation Skyactiv car. So, we really don't know!

Carplay and Android Auto coming soon? Crossing fingers...

Try actually reading what I referenced. The infotainment system including the problems with the Apple and Android platforms actually did play into the poor rating. Honda's stupid decision to get rid of a physical volume knob didn't help either.

Carplay and Android Auto coming soon? Crossing fingers...

Head over to vtec.net and read recent posts in the thread "Consumer Reports no longer recommends Honda Civic." Honda has AA and ACP but we might be glad that Mazda is taking a cautious approach. These platforms are great concepts but the reality seems to be (in the words of one of their...

    Mazda going premium?

Don't forget blind spot monitoring. Can't even get that on several BMWS for far more.

    Mazda going premium?

The current Mazda3 has features far beyond those of your BMW: LED headlights, smart braking and lane management systems, traffic sign recognition, Bluetooth phone & audio - I could go on but I won't. Heck, even today, BMW makes a rear view camera an option! Like I said, BMW is a Mazda for the...
