What have you done to your CX-9 today?

2020 about a week and a half old. It sat at the port of Baltimore for a few months though due to covid and the dealership had construction going on. I hit it with griots complete compound after a full panel clay bar. Im still iffy about the spray on ceramic waxes but everyone swears by them so...

What have you done to your CX-9 today?

Whole bunch of detailing done today, not too much since I gotta go to work soon. Tried out Griots 3in1 ceramic wax stuff. Works pretty well from what I can tell. Still doesn't hold its own against even their Best of Show wax but, damnit, it was seriously easy to apply.

Best cold air intake and exhaust setup?

I ran the ebay box 4-1 header with racing beat cat back. Also had the injen cold air. Those mods among many many others. Sound wasn't too too loud especially with windows closed and minimal drone on highways. Everything bolted up no problem but I did have to use the drilled out double spark plug...

New to CX-9 but not Mazdas...

SO, the idatastart was a bust. Easy as hell to hook up and get programmed but the issue came when I would remote start it. The key fob and exterior door unlock button wouldn't work after it was remote started. I called the company and they said it was their issue and gave me no resolution but to...

    All weather mats question

Will do. I can also say that as of current, they are producing more liners for the front and middle seats. I'm waiting patiently for the order to be sent my way. I've gotten the trunk liner for the third row up only already, after a nice warm day, it's damn near a perfect fit.

    All weather mats question

Weathertech is currently working on the third row liners for the 2020s with captains chairs and no center consul (touring with PP). Hopefully they include the center strip in their development. I emailed them about a week ago about it and they're about 3-4 weeks out from production. I got on the...

New to CX-9 but not Mazdas...

Yeah that's kinda what I've concluded, 40-50k miles. 100k now just seems like it's cutting it too close and could lead to failure. I want this thing to last dangit!

I read that thread about the fortin and looked at their website and just couldn't pull the trigger on that one vs the idatastart. The instructions suck with the idatastart but the harness is truly plug and play. I set up the harness the other day for fun and it took me all off 3 minutes...

    Mazda6 2.5 Slower than Mazda3 2.5?

My bad y'all, I was going off of the 3's curb weight and the 6's gross weight. I'm going to guess I was drinking when I looked that up. 1100 seemed high to me but hey, ya know, booze.

    Mazda6 2.5 Slower than Mazda3 2.5?

Weight has a huge factor in the feel of everything. Theoretically every 200lbs saved equals .1 sec off a 1/4 time. And since the 3 is (ish) 1100lbs lighter than the 6...yeah...big ass difference.

New to CX-9 but not Mazdas...

Well I purchased it this morning and got the extended warranty package since I plan on keeping it long term. I'll go ahead and order up some trans and diff fluid and keep them drained & filled at regular intervals. Also I'll let everyone know how the idatastart goes when I install it.

New to CX-9 but not Mazdas...

So, I've been on this forum for years leading back to my old 03 p5 and then to my 15 cx-5. It had 122500 miles and some trans fluttering issues so the wife talked me out of a new cx5 into a cx9. 2020 touring preferred package blue with black that I'm picking up Wednesday (08-19-2020)...

2008 3i Headlight Fuse location and changing

Start with, long time since i've asked anything. This is for the wifes car, 2008 3i. I'm gone for 2 weeks and of course her headlights both go out. It's most likely the fuse, but which one and where. I've found things saying it is under the hood, #4 40amp MIDI style fuse, and i've also seen here...
