    Wheel bearing issues (2016 CX-5)

2016 CX5 GT with 160K miles no wheel bearing issues. We did replace the front A arms recently as the bushings wore out. Previously, five years ago also had to replace the belt tensioner. Other than that, the car has been a gem.

Got a Recall letter for the CX-70

I just picked up our CX-70 two days ago. The dealership said they did the update. Apparently, the recall was announced in November.

Now with the CX-70 "revealed", what is everyone buying?

From what I can read from the Mazda literature quilted tan nappa leather seats, extra interior lighting, two toned steering wheel, suede dash and 150 accessory outlet in the back. Not sure if I'm missing anything else for a cost differential of $3,300.

Now with the CX-70 "revealed", what is everyone buying?

I'm very close to pulling the plug on a 2025 CX-70. Right now I'm trying to decide between the S Premium or the S Premium Plus. There is a price differential of $3,300 between the two. Any thoughts? With the current rebates of $3500 (we have a 2023 CX5 Turbo) and the dealer discount of $2600 on...

Thinking of giving my CX-5 with 105K miles to daughter

My son drives our old 2016 GT. It now has 160,000 miles. Other than replacing the lower control arms a few weeks ago (the bushings were worn out) I'm shocked at how well it still drives. It's been a rock solid car.

1st to 2nd Gen CX-5 Front control arm upgrade

We put the 2017 lower control arms on my son's 2016 a few weeks ago. Same fit with no installation issues. No more clunk or mushy steering. The ride was back to oem. FYI, the car has 160K miles on it now. The old bushing were shot.

New to Forum and seeking advice (looking into purchasing a 2024 CX-5)

Our old now our son's 2016 CX5 GT has over 150K miles on it. We did a transmission drain and fill at 50K, 75K and most recently 143K. I also did did a drain and tranny filter replacement at 105K miles. The transmission shifts great with no slippage. Actually, the entire car still drives...

    CX-5 Year, Mileage and Repairs

2016 CX5 GT 140,000 miles - belt tensioner. Other than that it has been completely reliable. 2023 CX5 Turbo- 5,900 miles. No issues nor should it have any at this point.

Choices and thoughts on a 2024 CX-5 purchase

We've had a 2014 - got totaled in an accident but we were fine. 2016 GT- only issue ever was the belt tensioner. My son still drives it with zero issues and 140K miles now. It still drives great too. Finally, we have a 2023 Turbo but with only 5,700 miles it's still pretty much brand new...

What to expect at 100K miles? 2013 CX-5

Also, remove the filter and cut it open.

Fixed One Issue Another Came up - 2016 CX-5 Lifter knocking

Sure sounds like a rod bearing. Happened to my kids old E36 BMW when the chain guide disintegrated and clogged the oil pump inlet filter. We had metal shavings all through the engine. I would advise not to start it at all. Have it towed in. Maybe you'll get lucky and the damage will be limited.

CX-5 Turbo is the best AWD SUV for the money

For me I wish our 2023 Turbo and all models went back to the touchscreen. On our old 2016 Gt I enabled it.

    ATF...Change or not?

Agree 100%. Also there is no such thing as lifetime fluid. Given the type of miles I would change the tranny fluid. When we had our 2016 I did it every 50K. At the 100K mark I dropped the pan and changed the tranny filter too. My son now has the car with 135K miles on it and it still runs, looks...

Down to 3 tire options. Opinions Appreciated!

Have the DWs 06 Continental's on our 2022 Nissan Rouge. They are a giant upgrade over the oem Falken's. So far have only had them on for 9,000 miles and they grip well, are great in rain and dry weather plus they are quiet. No idea about snow since we don't get any in Houston.

I want to buy a 2023 CX-5. What are the major issues?

None. What I wish it had was wireless android and apple car play. In the past we've had a 2014 Touring. That car got totaled due to someone cutting in front of us. 2016 GT. Sold that to our oldest son. Has 130K miles and still drives great. Only issue was belt tensioner which was a known...

    2013~2016 CX-5 Cargo Tray Options?

I'm very happy with the oem tray in ours. Fits like a glove. Also the oem rubber foot mats are great too.

    235/55/19 or 245/50/19 Tires (2021 CX-5 Signature)

I just put Conti DWS06 Plus tires on my new company car. Nissan Rouge. BIG improvement over the stock Falkens. When our 2023 CX-5 Turbo needs it's first set right now I'm leaning towards the DWS06 Pluses again too.
