My wife drives our 2023 turbo. I switched from 93 to 87 octane over a year ago. No difference in feel or mileage for her. I guess if you were in the upper rpm range you might feel a difference but for everyday driving I can't. Same with our 2025 CX70 Premium Plus S.

We're on our third CX5. Haven't done the ones on our 2023 turbo yet but the other two cars were very easy. Make sure the engine is cold when you do it and I'll second using a torque wrench is good advice.

Ours is averaging 29.5 mpg so we're in the same ballpark. Like you I'm very surprised and impressed with the mileage. Keep up the posts!

Congratulations! Very nice looking car. We have the Premium Plus S. I have been using 87 octane in it for the past 4000 miles and notice no difference in power or gas mileage. Most of our driving is suburban or on the highway. To date averaging 29.5 mpg.

No complaints here. Our 2025 CX70 PP Plus S just turned over 3700 miles. What I'm really happy about is I'm averaging 30 mpg on regular gas. I started out with premium 93 but then tried 87 octane. No difference.

My son now owns our 2016 CX5 GT. 155K miles on it. PCV valve is original. No issues.

If it was a very dark red color I guess it's possible that it's the old original very dirty FZ fluid. If it's a bright red then no way.
