    Cold Air Intake

They just started to look at Mazda. They began as a turbo BMW tuner in '07, then branched out into to other performance related brands. They have a very large following in the BMW community. I speak from experience when I say their results are impressive and reliable. If I lived in the area...

    Cold Air Intake

I like cold air intakes, but a tune offers the most bang for the buck. Burger Tuning is located in Simi Valley which is near L.A. I've had great experiences with their JB4 tuners on my 335ix and Cooper S. I'm hoping someone takes Terry up on his offer once the dust settles and we'll see the...

Anyone Here Get Their 2.5T Tuned Yet?

Spoke with the owner via email. Once all of this COVID dust settles they would need the vehicle for a couple of days to log data and determine the proper connectors. Whoever provides the car will most likely be compensated with a free JB4 tuner which starts around $500. I'm not opposed to...

Anybody live near Simi Valley, CA? Free tuning opportunity.

Burger Tuning is looking for a Mazda with the 2.5T engine in the Simi Valley, CA area to develop their JB4 tuner. They would need your vehicle for a couple of days to log data and determine the proper connectors. Whoever provides the car will most likely be compensated with a free JB4 tuner...

Anyone Here Get Their 2.5T Tuned Yet?

I shared this on the CX-5 page yesterday and emailed Terry this morning to inquire about the process of making one's car available for development purposes. I don't live in California, but if nobody else expresses interest in loaning their car to Burger Tuning for development, I'll consider...

    2.5T CX-5 Tune

Does anyone here live near Simi Valley, CA 93065? Burger Tuning is looking for 2.5T Mazdas to develop a tune. I found this on the CX-9 page: I had their JB4 in my BMW 335ix for a number of years without issue. Great results, too! Burger Tuning has been around for a long time. They're easy to...

    1+ Billion Lotto Jackpot

Agreed. Keeping it all would eventually alienate friends and family. Best thing to do is split it evenly amongst the people you care about. Of course you need to keep enough to buy all the cars you ever wanted. Let's not be unreasonable.

Why does the rest of the world always get better options?

I'm normally not a custom wheel guy, but daaaaaamn those look good. They cost about $2k/set.

For those eagerly awaiting Gen 3

Hopefully their partnership with Toyota buys them some battery/hybrid tech.

    LOL @ Rav4

Toyotas and RAV4s have had a very "appliance" look and feel to them for decades. It seems like the brand for people that buy cars because they need to, not because they want to. I've cross-shopped Toyotas with nearly every car purchase, and passed on them every time. That being said........I...

Winter is here and my CX-5 Turbo is now a 2.0L!

Not sure if this has been discussed, but the ambient air temp sensor would make sense for the situations when it behaves normally after it has been driven in under 20 degree temps then parked briefly, then driven again. My outside air temp always reads warmer for a few minutes in those...

    Winter driving

A few questions to help narrow the suggestions: -What part of the country do you live in? -How much snow was on the ground a d what was the temp? -What kind of tires? -How many miles on those tires? -How spirited were you driving at the time? FWD by nature tend to understeer/push through...

Winter is here and my CX-5 Turbo is now a 2.0L!

I put down a $500 deposit at my Toyota dealer a couple weeks ago to be 1st on the list when it arrives. It's refundable in the event I change my mind. The numbers are too good to resist right now. If the MSRP ends up being too high I'll fall back on a GTR.

    Any performance mods?

For what it's worth I email DRTuned inquiring about a 2.5T tune and they replied, "Development for the 2.5T is currently ongoing." Right now I'm leaning towards a RAV4 Prime when they come out, or I might sway back to the CX-5 Sig if there's a decent tune available next summer.
