While it certainly is NOT necessary, I have always done my first oil change once I hit the end of the break-in period, on every car I've owned. That's just me, being ultra conservative.

Since Mazda has never really been focused on high fuel mileage, I expect they will do little or nothing to counter Honda.

I don't think any of those are "issues". Mazda's Smart CC gets the job done, but it is far from the best functioning SCC out there. My wife's Pacifica mini-van SCC operates soooooo much better than my CX-5.

UPDATE: I went in Friday afternoon to pick up the vehicle. They said they continued to try and calibrate the cameras with no luck. They had the OEM Mazda windshield delivered, but could not install it without making a huge mess, because the glue on the replacement window would not be...

If you use your turn signal when changing lanes, the alert will not happen.

The only advantage the Mazda Nav has is that next turn info will display on the Heads-Up Display. Waze does not display on the HUD. That said, WAZE is so much better IMO that I have not used the OEM NAV more than once or twice.

Thanks smart guy...... I do use my mirrors, but still get the unnecessary and annoying warning alert when I tap the turn signal stalk to change lanes.

It's both actually. Boston drivers suck in general. But the BSM thing is configured way too conservatively IMO.

Interesting perspective to say the least. Seems like you paid a significant premium, just to get the turbo engine, with all the additional features and options being a waste of money...........

I'm a huge Waze fan as well. Use it every day for my commute and it's saved me from being stuck in traffic many, many times.......
