Winter is here and my CX-5 Turbo is now a 2.0L!

I've had my GTR since last Feb and have not experienced this problem. Tomorrow is forecast to be ~~20 degrees here, so I'll pay special attention during my commute.

    Mazda Popularity

There seems to be a need to bash everything non-Mazda in this thread. In reality, the competition makes wonderful vehicles, all with their own strengths and weaknesses. If Mazda has a lacking of sales, I think the sparseness of dealership locations is a big part of the problem. I had...

    Bad Fuel

2019 GTR here. Over 19,000mi so far, every single tank has been 28.0 - 28.5mpg. High percentage of highway commuting outside of Boston, with Smart CC on every commute. I've run both 87 and 93 octane in multiple sequential tankfuls and saw no difference in mileage. I "sense" a bit of a...

    Voice Commands Not W/WAZE

When Carplay is active in the display, the Mazda VR system is not usable.

    Bad Fuel

I see no MPG difference between 87 and 93. Did 10 tanks of each and always landed between 28 and 28.5. I'm now permanently on 87.

    SIRIUS Information

Honestly, I have a negative view of everything Sirius. Inferior audio quality Frequent cutouts So-so channel selections Expensive I find Waze and iHeart Radio via CarPlay far better for my needs.

Has anyone here bought the diesel CX-5 yet?

I'm more interested in the real world numbers than I am in hyper-miling efforts. If I drove at the speed limit on my daily commute, it wouldn't be long before my back bumper was in the front seat with me. If 31-32mpg in mixed driving can be considered "real world", I don't feel the diesel...

Oil change at 4 months or 5k miles...True?

Don't believe anything the dealer tells you when it comes to items they charge you for. Your GTR has an oil change interval indicator. Also, the owners manual is quite specific regarding oil change intervals. Read up!

    Acceleration Times 227HP Vs 250Hp

That's exactly what I'm saying. As I stated originally, mine is a "seat of the pants" comparison. My perception is that there is a RESPONSIVENESS advantage that 93 offers. HOWEVER that difference doesn't come close to outweighing the cost premium of 93. I'm permanently on 87 going forward.

    Acceleration Times 227HP Vs 250Hp

Excuse me, but I ran ~~10 tankfuls of 93 vs, ~~10 tankfuls of 87. I stand by my post. (drive)

    Acceleration Times 227HP Vs 250Hp

Totally informal testing, but yes, I have run a number of tankfuls with 93 and 87. "Seat of my pants" tells me there is some definite responsiveness advantage with 93. It feels and sounds like its working harder with 87. Of course, it all could be mental on my part. In the end, any...

    New 2019 CX-5 Owner (Almost)

I have a new problem since updating my iPhone to iOS 13.1.2 I'll start the car (2019 GTR) and set my FM Radio station. Then I'll plug in my iPhone and load WAZE with CarPlay for my ride to work. Everything works fine until Waze first alerts with either a warning or nav directions. Then...

    Extended Warranty

This is an unwinnable argument. Extended warranties are insurance, same as any other insurance policy. Yes, the issuing company prices the warranty at a level that they will make acceptable profits overall. That means that a few will benefit from the EW, while many will not. For most people who...

2017~2025 Mazda Sales.... Not So Good

I don't know about that........ Driving around, I cannot believe the number of high-end luxury vehicles and huge SUV's on the road. Not to mention all those $50k+ full size pickups. Must be an awful lot of "Lords" out there!

    Engine Oil - Turbo

The manual does not specify syn, so I'm under the assumption that it doesn't matter. I do use full syn in all my vehicles, simply because it makes me feel better.
