    My dealership made an "oops"

Really? I'm in several forums covering widely different topics and this is definitely one of the most cordial ones. Others have people chomping at the bit to pig-pile on other members. Lots of "keyboard cowboys" out there in cyberspace! (flash)

Spontaneous infotainment restart and settings reset

While mine didn't obviously reboot, I went to switch to Sirius yesterday, only to find that all of my favorites and settings were gone. While it may very well be all in my head, it did seem that the sound quality was much improved. Strange...................

    Toyo A36 in snow

If you drive carefully and keep speeds reasonable for the conditions, the Toyos are fine. I got my GTR back last February and they got me through the winter with no problem.

    Only OEM windshield for now.

My GTR did not get re-calibrated after either windshield replacement and everything works perfectly.

Warming up the engine on cold starts

We 2019 owners don't have the light. Instead the first 1/2 inch of the temp gauge has blue markers to denote a cold engine.

Warming up the engine on cold starts

There is no mechanical reason to let the car sit and idle before driving off. It's purely for comfort reasons. Obviously, a heavy foot with a cold car should be avoided as much as possible. I choose to use 0w-30 synthetic in my GTR, to help a bit with cold driving.

    Driving In Snow With AWD

My DTR lights are always on. When my wipers come on, the headlights lights also come on shortly thereafter. And when the auto high beam switch is on, it will default to high beams in the daylight, if the wipers are on steady, or high speed.

    Driving In Snow With AWD

Driving a CX-5 in the snow, even with the OEM Toyos, is simply a matter of common sense and paying attention. Slow down, leave extra space between you and the cars in front of you. Think and look ahead. You'll be amazed how capable the Mazda is in slippery conditions. I came from a...

    Only OEM windshield for now.

I've replaced two windshields on my GTR since buying it last Feb. The first was in March and the second two weeks ago. Safelite could not find a windshield in stock anywhere and told me they were on national backorder. I called the dealer and they found one in 10 minutes. They...

    Test drove 2019 CX-5. Disappointed

Huh????? You do realize we're talking about a COMPACT SUV and not a dragster here, right? Why the desire to piss and moan about what really is an amazingly well designed and built vehicle?

    Test drove 2019 CX-5. Disappointed

Grow up......... The hyperbole over this issue makes no sense, whatsoever. One guy says he loses 100hp in the cold weather, but needs a stopwatch to prove it out. Somehow, I would not need a stopwatch to figure out there was a 100hp issue with my GTR. The turbo 2.5 has been out for over...

Mazda radar cruise control with stop and go

Unfortunately, there's a reality factor that needs to be considered when setting the follow distance on Smart CC. I find that with any setting longer than Short, other drivers are constantly pulling in front of me, causing constant braking and inconsistent speed. In the extremely short...

    Test drove 2019 CX-5. Disappointed

Hmmmmm....... If you need a stopwatch to prove there is a performance dropoff, I'm thinking it's not as big a deal as you're making it out to be.........

Looks more like a CX-5 than a Mustang.

They are thinking that the name MUSTANG = $$$$$ And..... They are right.

    Test drove 2019 CX-5. Disappointed

While my GTR is perfect for my wife and I, I won't pretend that the back seat is fit for adults. I'm 6ft and wife is 5' 9". When I'm driving, it's kids only that could fit behind me. I know it's not a full size SUV and that's exactly what I wanted. Mazda is famous for driving dynamics...

    2019 CX-5 Turbo engine...Bad fuel economy?

16.8 seems abnormally low, even with a pretty heavy foot. If you're driving conservatively, you should easily be in the low 20's. I'm 80-90% highway with lots of traffic and run 28 - 28.5 on every single tankful.

Winter is here and my CX-5 Turbo is now a 2.0L!

I commute 40 miles to work every morning at 5:30am. I'm a mile from the highway, so when I jump on, my GTR is still not nearly warmed up fully. I have no issues whatsoever merging into highway traffic quickly and easily. If there is a performance degradation, either I'm not feeling it or...

Car washes - safe or not?

I have an unlimited wash plan and take my Machine Gray GTR through 1-2 times per week. No issues whatsoever. I'm thinking that any BLACK vehicle would have an issue with swirl marks though.

    Question on radar cruise

With SCC on, if you come to a complete stop in traffic, the HOLD light comes on. If stopped for 5 seconds or more, you will need to press RES to get moving again. If less than 5 seconds, the car will move forward on its own.
