In my experience, it's nearly impossible to get a dealer to make wheel substitutions on a purchase, let alone a lease! Have the dealer run the VIN through the parts computer and it will tell you what came on the car.

You're overthinking this. Just top it off with distilled water. All Mazdas boil off a bit of coolant and require topping off every now and then. And yes, FL22 is green.

I don't have a problem with any of Mazda's value line parts. They're not going to sell you something that won't work properly in their cars; that would be just plain crazy!

Keep in mind that Japanese industrial scandals aren't always as clear cut as they're made out to be. Remember the Carlos Ghosn/Nissan debacle? The symbiotic relationship between the government and large corporations really muddies the water in many of these incidents.

Have you driven a Mazda with CD? While there's an outside chance this that engine might not be quite as smooth in operation as one without CD, it can in no way be characterized as one that "jumps/skips/lurches".
