    Question on electric brake release

Just putting it in drive won't release the brake on my 3. When you apply throttle it feels like the forward thrust "overcomes" the holding power of the e-brake.

    Question on electric brake release

Wow! I'm going to have to try that on my wife's CX-5 (which I don't drive that much) because on my '18 Mazda 3, the electric E-brake will release itself when the trans is put in drive and gas applied. I'm surprised it's not the same in the later CX-5s?!

    New CX-5 Akera delivered today

My experience with the Mazda 3 2.5 ltr, book-ended by two CX-5s (a 2013 2.0 ltr and 2023 2.5 ltr) has been a lesson in power to weight ratios. In 2012, when the CX-5 was introduced) all that was offered in the US was the 2.0 and the car was criticized for being somewhat under-powered. I found...

    New CX-5 Akera delivered today

The Soul Red Crystal Metallic on your CX-5 is the same as that of your CX-30. The original Soul Red Metallic was discontinued prior to the CX-30 intro.

    TPMS Thoughts (2019 CX-5 GT)

I would have checked first with a tire gauge to see which one was low (unless you got a sense of that when you topped them up) so you could then figure out why (unless, of course, it was a false alarm, which these systems are prone to).

$4,200 a fair price for timing chain cover leak repair (CA)?

That may or may not be true, but you offer nothing by way of substantiating your assertion.

    CX-5 Headlight Part Numbers

Wow, is that a "Brit thing" or something? I would have no problem whatsoever enlisting the help of a friendly local dealer parts guy to help me sort something like that out. Or even calling an online Mazda parts dealer. All they can say is "no", but I can't imagine them being that rude!

    CX-5 Headlight Part Numbers

A dealer parts dept will have a record of all the supersessions for various part numbers. That's who I would be asking.

What did you pay for your CX-5?

It was cheaper (from a development standpoint) just to pull the rear seat out and re calibrate the rear suspension. Remember, Mazda is still a relatively small company with limited resources.

2017~2025 What is this CX-5 part?

Turned out to be the cable cover trim that goes on the rear view mirror stalk. The windshield was replaced last week and I guess this got away from the installer.

2017~2025 What is this CX-5 part?

That sounds reasonable, but are you sure (before I go pulling the glove box out!)?

2017~2025 What is this CX-5 part?

Found this in the front passenger side foot well of '23 CX-5. Looks "automotive"; maybe an interior trim piece of some sort. I don't see anything missing though.

First attempt at CX-5 Wash and Detail

Depending on how tall you are (I'm 5'10"), I really find something like this makes quick work of the roof and glass areas. PS: if I had it to do again, I would buy a better quality one, but it gets the job done!
