Average MPG less than 20mpg, am I alone?

Can low MPG indicate brake issue? If you take one car that shreds brake pads in 10-15k, and compare its MPG to another same model car that runs on same brake pads for 50k, would MPG difference be significant?

Just Purchased a 2024 CX-5 Carbon Turbo! Questions!

agree it runs better on premium but when premium is expensive, or you just need to burn a tank of gas on a 300mi highway trip, it's great to be able to use 87

My rear brake fiasco (dealership woes) 2017 CX-5

Now that makes me wonder if my maneuver could be caused by faulty caliper rather than anything else This seems like a decade old issue, this forum has plenty of cases and since no recalls have been made not a big chance there's going to be one I guess the best thing to do is to keep documenting...

    2019 CX-5 Brake questions

I think I'll just start monitoring my pads periodically. It's much more likely that '21 has exactly the same issue with calipers that my '16 had. The chances of some shop snatching my pads are very slim. Will see for sure in next 10k.

    2019 CX-5 Brake questions

Yes, same dealership. Nope, they didn't show me pads completely worn. But I heard the squeal and reported it. Most miles are coming from multi-hour highway driving, so it's really weird. Maybe someone is in business of switching new pads with used ones? I've been leaving my car a number of times...

    Brake/Caliper Corrosion on 2016 CX-5

Most if not all of my 15k mi come from long highway driving, 2-4hrs trips upstate at 74mph, no brake involved at all. Calipers shouldn't be a problem on a '21 car. Rust on the disc is the only viable option from your list. Would rust make pads wear out at 15k versus 50k other people observe?

Down to 3 tire options. Opinions Appreciated!

I had to switch to Pirelly Scorpion AS 3 as they work better in harsh conditions. Compared to Toyo A36: - much better handling in snow / rain - noise level - they do make noise, it's different compared to A36, and weirdly I can't tell if it's more or less loud, but it's comfortable - I liked the...

    Brake/Caliper Corrosion on 2016 CX-5

Funny how this issue resurfaces I just had to replace all pads at 15k mi on another CX5, this time '21 Is there something wrong with the way I'm driving? Or the area I'm driving in? Or the dealer?

    2019 CX-5 Brake questions

Reading all of that makes me wonder if something is really wrong with my car. At 15k miles it had all its pads worn out.

Strange thing at Mazda dealer: Tire rotation

Are you saying you didn't have to change brake pads in 32k mi? My 2021 rear pads started to squeal at 15k, that's an unrealistic difference in mileage

It's not "CrossSport". It's "Atlas CrossSport". The model is the same, it is Atlas in both cases.

Strange thing at Mazda dealer: Tire rotation

Oh, alignment is another "Strange thing at Mazda dealer" Month ago they insisted on aligning my wheels at 15k. Went to tire shop this week and alignment was all green. And they didn't charge for checking, which restored my faith in humanity.

CX-70 will have same exterior dimensions as CX-90

Passport is 10 inches shorter than Pilot, the bodies and looks are very different. CX-70 needs to be shorter and look different.

Strange thing at Mazda dealer: Tire rotation

When the front brakes better than the rear the rear may become your front. Having better front tires was a taboo in pre-ABS times, I'm actually not sure if that's still the case now, if you have trust in car electronics then you're good.
