    Dealer service - fear tactics

Lmao at the cost of the filters. Good call declining service on those items. On my wifes 2018 Touring the local Mazda dealer said I was due for differential fluid replacement at 30k miles, costing ($100+). Told service manager I didnt see it listed by Mazda officially on scheduled service and...

Distracted Driving: Android Auto / Apple Car Play

From various reviews I've read, Mazda porposly laid out the screen/controls to reduce driver distraction as much as possible. For what it's worth you can rest assured Mazdas approach is better then other car manufacturers. As previous poster mentioned, using VR is a great way to avoid evening...

    2019 GT speed display option

I dont believe there is a way to get digital speed readout. If you push and hold the dimmer down, you will get a change in the stats around the speedometer. It toggles between like half circle readout for mpg/avg/remaining fuel.....to a less elegant but more straightforward raw data.

what's a great deal price for 2020 CX-5 Soul Red

This will escalate further now, wont be surprised to hear about lockdowns in parts or all of the country within a week.

Has Mazda changed their mind and included the NAV System on the 2020 GT and Reserve?

Unacceptable IMO to get any trim that features the HUD and not get the SD card included on a brand new CX5. (Needed for TSR and turn by turn directions on hud) At least eBay offers a cheap quick fix for that omission. I believe they also canned XMtravelink on most trims. Another cost cutting...

What did you pay for your CX-5?

I was trading in a 2016 Jeep Renegade and got the dealer to raise the trade 1k in value. I ended up handing a check for 14k plus my trade in, which was exactly where I wanted to be. (couldn't wait to dump the Renegade as it was just a terrible highway CUV) In regards to your purchase, I would...

What did you pay for your CX-5?

Thats a pretty decent price. If you like it buy it, you certainly wouldnt be overpaying. I purchased a 2019 GT AWD w13k miles in January....they listed it at 25,900 initally which I haggled some off.

Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

When I did the firmware update to my 2019 it took about 45 mins, so plan for an hour at the dealership for both firmware and NAV card update.

Acceleration difference in 2019 from 2016

Mazda is LAZY when it comes to curb weight specifics. I believe they also list the 2019 Sport trim is identical weight to the Touring and non-turbo GT......complete BS. (GT have leather seats, more speakers, power liftgate standard, etc) How do the lower trims equal exact to the GT....not possible.

Acceleration difference in 2019 from 2016

Yes, the added sound deadening along with other changes increased CX5 weight thus slower acceleration for the Gen2 NA engine models. What your observing is real. Trade off for the upscale cabin and much less road noise.

Has Mazda changed their mind and included the NAV System on the 2020 GT and Reserve?

Question as I have the GT without HUD. My NAV screen shows speed limits and I've noticed it will change right after passing a posted limit sign if it changes....ie: 40mph, then I pass a 35mph sign the Nav screen quickly makes the change. On a HUD equipped car is it just displaying that same info...

Has Mazda changed their mind and included the NAV System on the 2020 GT and Reserve?

Exactly. Plus the competition offers baked in SATNAV in addition to AA/CP. This move to limit the Mazda NAV SD card to just the top trim is head scratching.

Has Mazda changed their mind and included the NAV System on the 2020 GT and Reserve?

The 3rd party Nav card sellers thank Mazda for this!

Mazda 3 sales took a beating, venture to guess some of those sales went to the CX-30. CX-3 continues in Miata sales territory.

Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

Which year is your CX5? I wonder if part of why the XM issue cropped up was that the newer (2019+) CX5's have added additional xm functions (XMtravelink) which previous years did not.

Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

I've had 1 XM drop/loading issue since updating to latest version. I had just input a new NAV destination before shutting down the car so maybe that contributed to XM unable to load that time.

    Radar Cruise Control

Since we are making these pilot error crashes merge with Mazda driver assists....the equivalent would be the Radar Cruise Control disables due to snow accumulation on the forward sensor (fact it can/will happen in snowy conditions)....the CX5 driver then is confused (doesnt know how to drive the...

2013~2016 2.5 NA (Non CD) Best MPG after driving style changes

Just to add on my 2019 GT, so far my averages according to the computer for last 4 tank refills have been 32.x-33.x mpg combined average. I fill up around the 1/4 tank range. Lots of highway and rural roads. Not stuck in traffic yet. I typically stick around 65-70mph on highways and use RCC...
