Check eBay....junkyards etc. Maybe someone can add to this but you may be able to expand a search to also a Mazda 6/ CX9/ CX3 etc. I would guess they all use the same CMU core.....unless its integrated into the screen itself.
Last resort try to price out a replacement from Tasca mazda...
Looks/cost. IMO they should be standard, this is a small SUV and some "SUV stuff" like roof rails would be welcome. At $400+ from the dealer its ludicrous pricing.
The CX-30 comes with them standard on the higher trim and IMO improves the looks on its small stature.
Excellent points, my wifes 2018 is CPO due to annual mileage driven (Covid changed that this year) I decided to save and purchase a used 2019 non-CPO.
Both cars have required 0 in warranty repairs thus far.
Mazda's reliability with the CX5 is excellent.
I'm gonna be that guy......
Anything Touring trim or above already has factory legal tinted windows (rear doors/rear window). Wheel locks.....Mazda wheels are not a high theft item so thats a coin toss of worth. Rest of it is dollars worth of stuff, Nitrogen air in tires is almost worthless...
Not off to a good start, anyone know if the firmware could be rolled back?
So far since updating to .367 I haven't seen the glitches with XMtravelink/XM radio even with quick restarts.
Something I find annoying is on the Clock. If I use GPS Sync the time occasionally stays on the time the car...
Well being Mazda recommends a rear diff fluid replacement if it gets submerged in water......yea not expecting great things from extended severe off roading.
Next they will take the CX5 to Leguna Secca raceway to see how the CX5 compares........wrong tool for the job imo.
I chuckle seeing CX5's in severe offroad situations. Noone is taking a new CX5 to places like that.....I mean we have complaints about thin red soul paint on CX5's causing small...
I really don't find the infotainment is any faster in its functions then before. At this point Mazda is just focusing on minor tweaks to prevent glitches and improve stability. Switching between radio channels is the same as nearly all versions of Mazda Connect.
If speed is what your after...
No xm glitch so far. A few shorter trips on the weekend and it was fine.
Startup from a thumb drive is still insanely slow. (Loads a bunch of stuff like phone/favorites etc, then loads thumb drive music....can take 45 seconds or more before playing a song. (Startup from am/FM is ok (radio comes...
Apparently dealers are already updating customer cars with this version here in North America. Based on that I went ahead and performed the update.
I'm hoping this corrects the XM load glitch that can effect XM radio and XMtravelink function. (Won't load/not accessible) and possibly speed up...
Turn off your TC when going off road and its close enough to the new programming. Its a tweak to the braking system to lock wheels from spinning when in tricky low traction situations. Not even close to being worth trading in a 2019 for a 2020 for this feature alone.
The nudge is very subtle. It will not steer you back into a lane. Mazda system is meant as an aid and not a autonomous steering system. At highway speeds it can offer a subtle assist if your slightly drifting out of a lane.
Take it back immediately, false advertising, shouldn't even be a question if you get your money back.
Carmax deals imo stink, not knowing the purchase price .....I'd take a guess they listed it at the same ballpark as a non-accident car. Not good.
Factory installed roof rails should be standard equipment on all trims above Sport. This is an SUV...not a Mazda 6. CX-30's higher trim have it as standard equipment now.
Would have been nice to have kept the 8.5 inches of ground clearance the Gen1 had.
An 8 speed transmission would be...
