That is what is amazing with these new engines. The fuel economy looks to be much better. The CX-9 was rated at 20 and 26 with 23 combined. I get 24.4 combined. The CX-90 is rated at 24 and 28 with 25 combined. I bet I could get 26 MPG out of that.

That honestly would be odd. My dealer said the wheelbase would be the same - but I didn't think that meant the whole vehicle would be the same length!

Don't understand the noisy cabin argument. This is from the drag race video. They are all the same but at this one point, the Hyundai has a much louder cabin, but there is fluctuation and honestly, they are all about the same.

I thought I read somewhere that the hybrid motor in the inline 6 was used to get the car moving and at slow speed stuff -to save gas. I wonder if that is giving the sense of being slow off the line. I am going to try to test drive one tomorrow.

There is another video that compares a BMW against a Stelvio and a Maserati. The BMW is listed as being down 30-60 HP on those cars but blows them away.

Maybe in Canada? I can't find that build choice on the BMW USA site. The X-7 is only 83K. (!)

Two things I take away from that are that 1) BMW really makes fast cars! 2) The X5 which has only two rows is not the most appropriate comparison with the CX-90. That is the X-7, which they should have chosen. Could the CX-90 be slow off the line cause that is handled by the electric motor and...

And their X-drive system is just amazing. I also thought the X5 was rated at 375 HP and was just a two row SUV. The X-7 is the seven seater.

The great news is that the Inline 6 and the 8 speed transmission look to be a real winner. I do wonder what the real MPG turns out to be. As much as I am tempted by the PHEV, I am also thinking that this might be the last chance to buy and drive a gas powered inline 6 engine!
