Honestly, who cares? The CX-90 is a smashing success. I hate to say it but those people that want to "define" what these cars are, are clearly not in touch with the Mazda's target audience for this car.

To me, the XC90 is the best looking SUV out there. The interior is also amazing and I would argue it has the best sound system out there. The cabin even smells good!

Looks fantastic. The great thing is the weight - at only ~1500 kg. Stuff like this is why I love Mazda. When the world is moving towards big, hulking SUV type cars, Mazda shows this.

I saw that as well. The installation seems VERY simple as compared to the CX-9.

For some reason, I think it was from the surveys. Most people asked for captain chairs and the majority were using it as a 4 seater with extra room. I think Mazda really listens to those surveys.
