iPhone 8- cant get text messages to display in infotainment screen?

I do (have an iPhone) and yes I do (receive my texts on the screen, more like the car reads them to me when in motion). It's hit and miss sometimes. I had an iP6 that worked perfectly, recently went to an ipX and it works perfectly. My wife has an ip7 and it won't work for some reason. I've...

    Drag race : Mazda Cx5 2016 vs 2018

Yep, I did a write up on it a while ago, see the link below. Lots of pics. This was on my '16, so those with a '17+ would need to verify the correct steering wheel back. https://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123851561-Paddle-Shift-Install-2016-CX-5

Japanparts.com is where I bought them.

    Drag race : Mazda Cx5 2016 vs 2018

Yep, you can have that in the US, I'm in California (just need to order, then install the parts)...and nope, not a dealer option in the US.

    Drag race : Mazda Cx5 2016 vs 2018

I know the article was referencing the newer models, but yes the CX-5 can be had with paddles and tip shift (mine has both). The tip shift is standard, the paddles can be added from parts out of the Japanese catalog. I'm guessing the tester they had came equipped with both as well.

    CX-9 Picture Thread

Looks good! Do you know how much clearance there is on the inside of the box? We just had a baby as well (3 weeks old), and with a 3-year-old toddler, I've been looking into top boxes to stow the stroller when we're out. My wife's parents are staying with us and need to sit in the back. I was...

2016 CX-9: Dashboard shows "Service soon" but cannot reset it

For the record, the "7-second trick" worked to reset my service light. AND the second I post that and go drive the car the light comes back on. It goes out on its own after a few seconds but...it's baaaak.

2016 CX-9: Dashboard shows "Service soon" but cannot reset it

This just happened to my CX-9 as well. The dealer did the service and reset the monitor, then the next day I start getting a "service soon" light on the dash. The dealer did upgrade the firmware during the service (without telling me) to the latest (504). Looks like I need to try the 7 second...

    Excellent price on CX-9 signature?

I used a similar tactic when shopping for my CX-9. The only thing I did different was that I used Truecar to get pricing. Even then I had similar results. In fact, I was looking for a signature and ended up with a GT simply because there was no stock of '18 signatures when I was looking. Dealers...

    Daytime running lights dim/flickering

I'll add another to the list, she (My wife) was driving behind me today and I noticed the LED DRL had failed on one side. We're coming up on 3-years of ownership, so we're going to try and get it replaced under warranty ASAP.

    Blank Infotainment CX9

The software version seems to be the big thing, the latest iteration being the most stable. I've had my CX-9 for going on four months now and it has crashed exactly once in that time. I was able to reboot and it continued on without an issue. That was on a long (two day) road trip using the...

Anyone tried upgrading ther NAV maps via the Mazda Connect Website?

I’ve used the website, and yes it does work. You have to download their program “Mazda Toolbox” first. Once you download that, and open it with your SD card inserted into your computer, you’ll need to setup an account and enter your vehicle information. After that, you will be able to update the...

    Shady Dealer Madness

Yeah, I didn’t pay anywhere near the price quoted above, quite a few hundred less. Still more than it should have been though. Knowing what I know, I wouldn’t purchase it again.

    Shady Dealer Madness

Yup, this seems to be the case.

    Shady Dealer Madness

I agree. The thing is when my wife presented the contract to the service guy he couldn't point to anything on it that indicated the service schedule, and I never noticed it until Mazdadude's post. That part should have been more professional. The Mazda dealer in Corona.

    Shady Dealer Madness

Yep. Lesson learned for me: don’t just read the contract, ask questions and fully understand all the terms. Even the acronyms...they all mean something. Oddly enough, the service tech didn’t recognize the code either?

    Shady Dealer Madness

Completely correct, this likely wouldn’t have been worth my time. It was more an issue of principle, but turns out I was simply wrong...so there’s that.

    Shady Dealer Madness

So I re visited the link you posted earlier and the descriptions of the services reminded me of something on my contract. Turns out you are right, there is a code (it’s not spelled out) indicating what I think is the service schedule 1 ultimate package. I didn’t recognize it as such until I re...

    Shady Dealer Madness

Yep, I've got it in black and white. That is what it sounds like to me as well. The only issue with that is the contract I have does not state a service plan or type. It only states a final mileage or time limit. AND the dealer is the one who set my service intervals, not me? Agreed, I think...

    Shady Dealer Madness

So I typically don't make these kinds of posts, but what happened today just aggravated me to no end and I'm in a sharing mood. In 2015 my company leased a 2016 CX-5 and as part of the lease, I purchased a service agreement. The terms of the service agreement were that I would pre-pay X-amount...
