Break in oil consumption (2024 CX-5 Sig)

I was looking at my average change mileage over the years and appears to be right around 4500 miles and currently at 86k miles on my '15 AWD GT. I'm not showing any visual usage off the full dot on dipstick over the years. This is one reason I've never had a desire to move off the 0W-20 Mazda...

Be glad you have a CX-5

I haven’t looked closely at the NX… I might have to take a closer look. Just trying to keep options open until replacement in the next 2 years of another vehicle. I’m personally not interested in European vehicles I was watching a review the other day on the RX and they felt Lexus probably...

Be glad you have a CX-5

I'd pass on the NX and go for the RX with that small of a price gap if that was price I was working with.

Be glad you have a CX-5

I didn't say I was buying one right now. Hopefully existing issues can be addressed with flashes or further incorporation of Toyota Hybrid technologies for that area of the vehicle On the EDR.. true but far more info was implemented in the mid 2000s on the imports anyway. GM was the likely...

Shift Switch Replacement issue...Any ideas? 2015 CX-5 Automatic

Commander came with '16s along with sport mode and EPB in US market. I have seen other markets that number their models based on sales years so while a '16 here it could be considered a '15 elsewhere. I think I noticed that in Australia.

Shift Switch Replacement issue...Any ideas? 2015 CX-5 Automatic

I guess most don't report it here. I don't commonly frequent the other Mazda forums. When mine fails I'll probably pick up up a used assembly like OP did and then fix the stock switch if possible and keep as a spare.

Shift Switch Replacement issue...Any ideas? 2015 CX-5 Automatic

I see the unavailability of parts all the time on my tracked '89 Yamaha snowblower. Data on yearly sales seems to be down right now at GoodCarBadCar but here are US sales from 2012-2022

Shift Switch Replacement issue...Any ideas? 2015 CX-5 Automatic

I can’t say over the 10 years I’ve been here this has been a common failure in CX-5… in fact seems kind of rare. I do agree treating the switch with some cleaning and lube where needed.
