Test drove a CX-9 Signature "dreadful A/C" is correct

Im referring to the Fortin remote start, it uses the same smart fob I use to lock/unlock the car. Just click lock 3x and the car starts.

Test drove a CX-9 Signature "dreadful A/C" is correct

I also live in an area where the daily temps are pretty high (can easily be above 100 from spring to fall), and in my impression, the A/C can blow cold (like JPL pointed out) when the car is running in free air at speed. Otherwise, I'd agree with the majority of these postings in that it's not...

I'm looking into getting a CX-9in San Diego. AWD vs FWD?

(iagree) Take a pair of test drives, hit the gas hard a few times on some of the steeper hills and by the end, you'll know which car works best for you. Although I got an AWD (mostly for trips to the snow/desert) I've had many FWD cars (even a few RWD) and they all perform well on dry pavement...

Maybe it's time for a dealer visit to check over the system (if it's that important to you)?

    Trailer Hitch

I got the Draw-tite as well, no interference at all on mine. I installed it and have gone back under to torque the bolts again. Everything clears fine.

    '18 CX-9 and Fortin Remote Car Starter...Success!

I didn't, there's a metal substructure right under the dash, next to where everything plugs in. I just attached the device to that with zip ties. Sounds like customer service had you covered.

    Trailer Hitch

U-haul is ok, E-trailer.com seems to have the best options/pricing around though. If you really don't want to do it yourself, you can order from them and have someone local install it. I'd advise you look at their install video though, it's SUPER easy to do yourself (I did) and really hard to...

    NEW map

Did you inadvertently turn off sign recognition? Maybe check and see if that is still on.

Did you create that setting? From their literature, the car should run for a set interval then shut down unless someone intervenes.

Motor Trend MAZDA CX-9 LONG-TERM UPDATE 5: HOW THE INTERIOR IS HOLDING UP

A quote from the article " The leather and other soft surfaces have withstood the abuse that a vehicle takes after driving 27,000 miles in less than a year. The one glaring exception to this observation, though, is the heavily scratched piano black finish on the center console and door...

Me either, everything works now as it did before.

What have you done to your CX-9 today?

    Second that...the car looks great.

    '18 CX-9 and Fortin Remote Car Starter...Success!

I just left the button in the glove box. The way I secured the Evo, I should just be able to reach under the steering column and plug it in if necessary. But to be honest I'm not too concerned with it, the car will only run for only a few minutes (I believe the default is 7 min's) without input...

    Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Bummer, but yeah, hopefully the US announcement is pending. Wow that price is 1.5X the actual cost of the parts...that sux.

    NEW map

The website does still say February 1, 2018, but if you use Mazda Toolbox, that says a July 2018 map is available. I'm downloading it right now in fact!

    Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Well according to the guy who did the install, his charging rate went from 320mA to 1030mA. An improvement but, still needs a bit of work. Also, mazda has finally set a date for the release of AA/CP! August 6, 2018 according to the Mazda press website...

    '18 CX-9 and Fortin Remote Car Starter...Success!

I can't say as I did not install the hood pin. I just put the sticker on the fuse box, no one should be clicking the key fob while the car is being worked on (I would think not anyway). Didn't need to, the harness I received controls the lights with just the two plug-n-play connectors Yes...

    '18 CX-9 and Fortin Remote Car Starter...Success!

I haven't, and can't say that I would. That's another $120 on top of the money already spent just for "online remote access", and it sounds like you have to pay a yearly fee as well (ad said first year free). I'm sure someone could make use of it, but that just doesn't do much for me.

I can spin the front tires on my AWD CX-9 .... is this normal for this AWD system?

It should be but you'll have to take that up with Mazda, I don't have an answer for you on that one. (popcorn) All I can say is I knew that the car exhibited this behavior before I set foot in one. I watched an online review of the car and the same thing happened to the reviewer. So this did...

New AA \ ACP Thread (with Poll)

You're right, I am just guessing. In fact I "hope" I'm wrong, and Mazda prices the kit at $163 + labor (1 hour @$+/-75), so total cost should come in around $250 max. Let's see what they come up with. Although the install looks so simple, I'll likely just buy the parts and do it myself.
