I just had my windshield replaced and I have an '18 GT with all the bells and whistles. My advice would be to get a dealer price for the same work. I went to Safelite first and they quoted me a decent price, but then showed up with the wrong windshield (one for a CX-5 actually) and tried to tell...
Well, in Mazda's favor, it is a twin turbo Diesel. Which isn't really offered in comparable vehicles. It should be very torquey and pretty good on gas (unless Mazda cheated their numbers like VW).
I played with that setting and as I understand it, HIGH means the lights will turn on quicker, LOW lowers the sensitivity (lights take longer to activate). The lights really should be tied to the wipers, but I guess there are so few jurisdictions with that requirement, it wasn't worth the...
Most of the dark color you are seeing isn't dirt, it's the charcoal filter material. But those came off an '18 with 15,000 miles. I do live in a high desert area though, so lot's of sand here.
Good advice! Yeah, I have a cat, but she's 13 (human) years old...her predatory days are long over.(rlaugh) I'm looking into the infused cotton balls, I've been told peppermint oil is good. Interesting idea about blocking off those ingress points, I'm going to take a look at that, thanks.
I replaced the filters today. Both the engine air filter and the cabin air filter. It's crazy how much the dealer wanted for this 5-minute job.
The original is the grey looking one. I thought I ordered OEM parts (came in a Mazda box and part number) but the new one is white which means no...
This just happened to me today, except this time I was in the middle of L.A. I was merging from the 60 to the 710, using Waze, and the dot just drifted off into the sunset. I hit the voice command button and input the address again, knowing it would switch to apple maps. My thought was that the...
On my 2016 CX-5, the dealer recommended the service. At the time, that car was a lease with all scheduled maintenance paid for. I told the dealer "if Mazda recommends it, and it's covered in the scheduled maintenance, then do it". Of course, it wasn't, so they didn't perform the service.
FYI -...
A dealer whos on the CX5 Facebook page. PM me and Ill give you his contact info. Total cost including shipping was $700. Still very expensive but the dealer here quoted me $1200.
Yep, I posted details in the "what did you do to your cx-5 today" thread. See this link. https://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123826557-What-Did-You-Do-for-Your-CX-5-Today&p=6623206&viewfull=1#post6623206
Spoiler, Yes, the bumper did have to come off, but it wasn't that hard to do.
Today I got around to replacing the non-functional DRL assembly. I got a replacement from a dealer on the east cost that was $500 less than what my dealer here quoted me. The only bummer was having to remove the front bumper only to discover a missing bumper bolt and plastic guide (likely left...
Welp, got it done. The beam height was a bit off but otherwise, things went ok. That was easily adjusted. Doesn't seem any other adjustments/setup was required.
Has anyone replaced the headlight assembly on their own? My lights are adaptive, and I'm going to replace the defective one this weekend. Curious if there's anything to look out for or some random setup/maintenance mode that needs to be set in order to replace the assembly?
I went for a little corner to corner road trip this weekend. Drive to the coast, south to the border, then east to the mountains. Fun day, we saw sun, rain, fog and snow. Gotta love SoCal. Anyway, here are a few cell shots.
I have an iPhoneX and mine does this on occasion, but only in areas where the cell signal is weak. If the signal is strong, then the GPS is very accurate. I went to the mountains the other day, and this happened a lot.
For US-spec models, the 2016 to current CX-5, and the 2016 to current CX-9 infotainment systems are identical except, cosmetically the touchscreen size and location varies a bit by model/year. The CMU, the software, the hubs, etc are all the same.
