On the GT & Signature models, do the rear taillights have a special wiring harness vs the Touring? Not sure if I get the GT LED taillights whether it will be plug & play or it will not work?

That's ANOTHER REASON why I hate when vehicles don't include transmission dipsticks. A simple 1 minute check of the fluid level and condition via dipstick tube would have spotted the problem.

If one installs LED bulbs in the non-GT versions, the bulb-out never illuminates. So I am not sure that would be a problem if you installed the GT taillights on a non-GT.

I guess the question comes down to is whether or not the Touring model comes with the wiring to connect a GT tailight that has LEDs.

Mazda will probably have to deeply discount them to even sell one. I am thinking $5k incentives. All Mazda can do is hope to break even or take a little loss. Making a profit, no way, that ship has sailed.

I just hope Toyota doesn't buy out Mazda. While Toyota makes reliable cars, they are BORING to drive and lack any sporty feedback. They are just kitchen appliances. The Mazda "zoom zoom" will turn into "snore snore"

Same here in Arizona. Dealerships don't want the diesels and refuse to carry them except for maybe 1 model. Nobody wants the diesel and they are overpriced. Mazda might have to do a fire sale to clear them out. The diesel SUV was dead back in 2015 and Mazda's diesel CX5 was doomed years ago...

That sums it up. The biggest problem is not pollution but the human child birthrate. Humans are living longer and having more and more kids. Nature keeps itself in check and animal populations never really grow, they stay the same. It's humans that keep growing, consuming and remain unchecked...

You might want to walk that back. Yes, they are American but Tesla is building and opening a HUGE Tesla factory in China (Gigafactory 3) to build Tesla's for the US market. The reason is simple. Tesla hasn't made a profit yet and in order to so, they have to start building cars in China.

Dieselgate began in Sep 2015. Mazda saw the writing on the wall. They should have pulled the US diesel instead of spending $$$ and trying to get it in US markets 4 years later. The diesel version is a turd.

I got a 2017 even though 2018s were out because I saw the writing on the wall for the CD on 2018's. I knew back then that the CD was going to be problems and I was right. The tech was too new, overly complicated, and all for a 1/2 mpg gain? One can air up their tires and get better mpg gains...

I agree on the pricing. Ridiculous at 50K+ for the AWD loaded version. Although with GM vehicles, you can usually get crazy incentives that can knock that down to low $40's but still a pricey SUV. I am not a big fan of Mazda building vehicles in Mexico. I do feel the quality control is better...
