    US Diesel's big splash introduction

Those would be serious good numbers. I hope it both appears and achieves them.

    US Diesel's big splash introduction

Combined is, I think 27 MPG for a FWD. So, a 20% increase puts it in the RAV4 Hybrid/Rogue Hybrid range, maybe, just a bit above. Some of you outliers might be able to do better. Honestly, I'd be really happy at 33/34 MPG.

    US Diesel's big splash introduction

I've looked at reviews from other countries, notably Australia, and it looks like it's going to be less than that, maybe a lot less, but it's really hard to nail down. I think I saw over 40 mpg on a 6. It seems to be rated in the low 30's, but real world it looks like it could be under 30...

    US Diesel's big splash introduction

I can put AA/Carplay in mine. I just have to take out the stock radio.

    US Diesel's big splash introduction

I'm just cynical on Mazda in this respect. I don't know anything more than what the guy said, so we should be taken with several grains of salt. And he's got something he heard from a dealer who probably barely knows more about the diesels arrival date than he does about particle physics

    US Diesel's big splash introduction

I really want to upgrade my 2015 CX-5, and while the 2017 is a lot better, the mpg from a diesel, or HCCI, would be the trigger-puller. But, this is what I feared would happen. So, like AA/Car Play, it's just right around the corner, someday, one of these days....

    Need some buying advice

It's a confusing post. I think he's saying a used 2016.5 vs a new 2017. If that's the case I think he needs a bigger discount on the 2016.5. New they're $2000 less than a 2017 just because of Mazda money. So one with 12.5K miles should be more than the extra $2K difference. Especially if...

    2018 Camry Compared to Mazda6

Um, push the height button in the down direction until it don't go no more? You might be right about the manual, I don't know. People never believe I have this problem on the internet. It was the same thing with the Accord Hybrid but it was better there. Still couldn't buy it with a moonroof...

    2018 Camry Compared to Mazda6

I've never driven the 6, or even sat in the driver's seat but I got a chance to in the new Camry. I'm kind of long on the torso, but only 6' tall, and my head was firmly placed in the roof. It had the panoramic roof so that may have contributed to it but there's no way a big guy is going to...

SKYACTIV II with HCCI to debut within weeks

I think it had more to do with a 20-year old driver vs a not 20-year old driver. One of us wanted to get down fast, the other just wanted to make sure he got down. These were really tight corners, blind and no where to go at the speed he was taking them should some unfortunate soul have been...

SKYACTIV II with HCCI to debut within weeks

2015 Touring here, so no sport mode but that would address one of my concerns about the 2017. I'm typically filling up 5-6 times/month. It would be more but the weekend traffic in these parts during the summer pretty much means that I can leave home but not return for several hours if I go...

    2017 Mazda CX5 - America's Best Crossover

I cannot tell a lie, it would not be a 2017 Mazda in your scenario.

SKYACTIV II with HCCI to debut within weeks

From a dead stop the CX-5 is fine, at least to me. It's getting on the freeway with a semi on the left and I gotta get past it where I wish the vehicle had a bit more bite. It would also be nice if it had a bigger gas tank so I could go more than 320 miles without the orange light coming on...

    2017 Mazda CX5 - America's Best Crossover

Own a 2015, and would buy a 2017, but didn't, so would I? I came really close but the dealer didn't respond to email, it bought me some time, and now I'm either gonna get a sedan or wait for the diesel. The diesel, or HCCI, would really improve this car in my opinion so waiting is pretty easy.

SKYACTIV II with HCCI to debut within weeks

The hybrid crossover numbers aren't very impressive. We only have 2 that I know of, at least in this price segment, and both are barely better than their gas only brothers and sisters. In the sedans you see some pretty impressive jumps. I don't know how much of that is because they drop...

Love Hate Relationship in less than one Week

Based on everything I've read the 17", in theory, are quieter. Different road types make a huge/gigantic difference. You can literally go from this is pretty nice to hating your car. I would check tire inflation. The dealer didn't inspect the car before they sold it to you. I made a tire...

SKYACTIV II with HCCI to debut within weeks

I'm not sure their's is better. They have some kind of connected system. On the lower trims it's powered by your phone, for $25/year after a 3-year trial. On the 6-cylinder's it's some sort of cloud-based app that you'll also pay for after 3-years but they don't have a set fee yet. I'd say...

SKYACTIV II with HCCI to debut within weeks

Yeah, they could double the 6's sales and it would barely make a dent. The new Camry is a very interesting vehicle. They did a lot right with it but whether it will matter in the face of declining sedan sales I don't know. They really want to charge you for using the infotainment system...

    Rust-proofing (Krown) question

2015 here. I did get the recall for the lift gate but no rust that I can see. I probably live in one of the foggiest places on the planet, except between 10AM and 3PM, then it's usually windy and foggy.

SKYACTIV II with HCCI to debut within weeks

One other note. The new Camry s**** all over the 6. It's faster, gets better MPG, rides better and is apparently in the handling ballpark. The biggest problem with the Camry is the infotainment system. I think after 3-years they charge you to look at it. It's kind of nuts. We haven't seen...
