    Brighter Headlights?

Oh wow, almost all cars on LED's now I find are quite bright. I'm wondering if it's he projector beams that are making it seem like it's not very bright? Did you Jeep not have projector beams by any chance?

2023 CX-9 same specs as the 2022? WeatherTech Mats

I second Tuxmat. I had to settle for the WeatherTech for the cargo liner (Tuxmat didn't have them) and I would argue the quality (to me anyways) is subpar compared to Tuxmat.

Any car seat recommendations for 2022 CX-9?

I've got a Nuna Rava (rear facing still) behind the passenger seat (I opted to go bench in the 2nd row). I'm 5'7 and have the passenger seat pushed right upto the car seat (with a small gap, 1/4" at most) and there's plenty of leg room for me. We had the UppaBaby Mesa when our little guy was...

    Wireless Charging activating Apple Wallet

I noticed the same on my iPhone 13 Pro. This also happens on my wife’s iPhone 11. We both have our double click power button to open wallet turned on. My understanding is that the car’s console has NFC enabled and this is interfering with Apple Wallet (it uses NFC)

Fuel Pump Recall. Any done yet?

Oh no doubt people fall for it all the time; otherwise, I feel they wouldn't do it. At bare minimum, people really should at the very least look at the scheduled maintenance of their vehicles to see what services are "required". Oh, interesting. I can't remember the last time I've dropped the...

Fuel Pump Recall. Any done yet?

That's a whole lot of bs services they are looking to gouge you on. The thing that gets me is the lack of communication or competence between the techs and the service advisors. How the f*** do you not see in the notes that the brake fluid and oil changes were done recently and then suggest it...

What have you done to your CX-9 today?

I was looking at these for my 18 CX-5 (before upgrading to CX-9) since the rear rotors did not hold up well on them for some reason. I'll have to leave a note to ask you a year or so down the road to get an update on them.

2.5L NA Cracked Cylinder Head with Oil Leaking

I have nothing against the CX-5. It's been great up to this point. Only other complaint I have would be the rear brake rotors, they did not hold up well in the 3.5 years I've had it; no issues on the fronts. I'm only one of three 2.5L NA CD motors with this issue at a dealership that is the 2nd...

2.5L NA Cracked Cylinder Head with Oil Leaking

For completeness sakes/record: 2018 CX5 GT, purchased brand new. Odo at the time I noticed the burnt oil smell in the cabin: ~35000 km/~22000 miles. All work and parts were covered under the Powertrain Warranty. Refer to this post for Chain of events Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Problem...

2.5L NA Cracked Cylinder Head with Oil Leaking

I wonder if it is a ticking time bomb or if you're in the clear after lets say 50k considering how "early" the leaks came up in the life of the engine.

2.5L NA Cracked Cylinder Head with Oil Leaking

Yes, I think you need to take these statements with a grain of salt. I've built up a pretty good relationship with a sales guy and he is pretty straight forward with me and have always treated me well, so I have no reason not to believe that there is some truth behind what they tell me. My...

Fuel Pump Recall. Any done yet?

In progress as we speak, along with the damn cylinder head replacement :( Should have it back in a day or two

What model year of CX-5 do you have?

Soon to be traded-in 2018 CX5 GT with the unlucky cylinder head oil leak at ~30,000 km/~19,000 miles mark winter of 2021.

2.5L NA Cracked Cylinder Head with Oil Leaking

Yes you would think right? Apparently, it was not engine critical, hence drive it around. For those of you in Ontario, I go to Mazda of Toronto, which is the highest volume Mazda dealer in Ontario (of course this does not mean much without reference numbers, but a busy month for them is 20-30...

    Looking at a 2022 CX-9 Signature

I was one of the unlucky ones here in Toronto that had a cylinder head issue/oil leak on a 2018 CX5 (started just over the 32,000km mark) :( I was hoping to drive the CX5 to the ground (as that's how my family have always drove cars), but the oil leak issue was on the back of my mind. The dealer...

2.5L NA Cracked Cylinder Head with Oil Leaking

And might as well update Might as well post an update for completeness: The damn parts finally arrived yesterday; that's an 8 month wait for those parts. In the 8 months, I drove it around (and put on 13,000km/8000miles), but had to deal with smoke coming out from under the hood and the smell...

    Looking at a 2022 CX-9 Signature

Thanks for all of your inputs! Got a very good trade-in from the dealer so decided on the 2022 CX-9 GT.

    Looking at a 2022 CX-9 Signature

Up here in Canada, the only differences between 2022 GT and 2022 Signature is purely cosmetic (exterior and interior) as far as I can see. Exterior: titanium grill inserts, bigger exhaust tip, different color wheels, captain's chairs in the 2nd row with a console, napa leather, quilt/piping...

    Looking at a 2022 CX-9 Signature

I am seriously considering a 2022 CX9 Signature (or maybe a GT since I don't think 2nd row captains chairs are very family friendly). Anyone here know of anything I should be concerned about? Not necessarily from 2022, maybe 2021 or even 2020? Thank you in advance! Edited with more clarity.

2.5L NA Cracked Cylinder Head with Oil Leaking

Still waiting on the replacement head for my CX5. :( Glad your car's back to "normal" and hopefully this will not be a recurring issue.
