Messed my Radio and Cig Lighter up...

The wire that powers the cig lighter is really thin and weak. That may have fried when you left the compressor on. I fried mine with a charge cord for my phone! There's a how-to around here somewhere to replace that weak wire but I never bothered because it looked like kind of a nightmare...

Bought a new (to me) 2008 Mazda3 and I only got a single lousy key

    2003 was a Protege, not 3. The key/fob's gotta be for a 2004+ car.

    Parchment vs Black leather

Just color. Parchment = Light Beige leather It makes the interior look a little more classy than plain ol' black in my opinion.

    Rust

Yeah, unfortunately, Mazdas seem to have rust issues. My old MSP and Protege5 both had it, and I live no where near the snow. There's two grades of Japanese steel... Ancient samurai sword and '81 Mazda GLC. :ROFLMAO:

    Replacement key fob/shell for a 2012 Mazda3

I found this. Hopefully it helps. The website quoted seems to be gone, but don't let the dealer rip you off.

    Fatal rust?

MY MSP was from California and never saw snow. I live a block from the pounding surf though, so the salt around here is airborne. When I sold it, it had under 75K miles on it, had never been wrecked or even tracked and was 100% stock. (Find a sub- 80K mile MSP that's never been modded). I had...

Went to Mazda after 8 Subarus, very happy!

Congrats on the Mazda! Looks like a clean one. I'll bet the interior is pretty nice after sitting in that Impreza, too. (y)

    Can't locate front end noise...Help!

Mazdas are FAMOUS for clunky swaybars. I'd double check those swaybar brackets and endlinks for play. Damn things corner too well for their own good.

    Seeking Weather Tech Feedback

Not a Mazda, but we've had Weathertech mats in our 4runner since 2012. No issues ever, perfect fit, they don't slide around, and they really do catch spilled sodas and stuff.

Anyone consider a used Luxury SUV for the price of a new CX-5?

CX-5 0-60 is 6.6 sec Stelvio QV does it in 3.6 That's not minor. Those things are absolute beasts. I rode in one and it takes off like a fricken Hellcat. My friend has had it for three years/ 20k miles with no problems at all. Unfortunately, the price difference isn't minor either. Bang for...

2014~2021 Going to war with Mazda re: rear brakes

If the rears are gone at 12000 miles, there's a problem with your brakes.

How many actual miles on a new car?

Screw that guy. You got yourself a nice car and GTFOutta there. He gets to go back and spend every day in that lousy dealership.

How many actual miles on a new car?

If I were you, I'd enjoy my new car and not worry about it. Those cars will go for decades if you treat 'em right and in the end, a few dozen miles won't be a biggie, I promise. The guy at the grocery store isn't worried about picking out the best produce, and the guy at the donut shop isn't...

Clicking/knocking noise after rotor and brake pad change

One thing to make sure of is that the clips are placed correctly. If you had to force them at all, they might be backwards. This:

    CX-9 for my traveling son?

I'm 6'2"/ 190lbs and recently bought a Golf R (don't judge! Mazda abandoned me, not the other way around!) because I wanted a turbocharged hatchback that I can fit my surfboards, dog and friends into, but still have some fun. Crazy how much more leg and shoulder room there is compared to an...

First Time Mazda Owner Question For Long Time Owners

I've been driving Mazdas since the 90's and they've always treated me great. All except the RX-7 I have now, but that's a different animal. I've always thought of Mazdas as maybe a little less dependable or durable than a Honda or Toyota, but the way they drive makes up for that.

Best cold air intake and exhaust setup?

+1 more for the Injen intake. I ran one on my P5 for years with no issues. They're California smog legal too. So is the Racing Beat exhaust, which is also high quality. If you want loud, though, RB might not be the choice. No need for a tune or injectors as long as you're keeping the boost...
