What have you done to your CX-9 today?

My Redtiger F17 Elite dashcam came in yesterday. Time to start working on the review. I've set it up with the 12v socket powering it for now, just to test it out. Video quality looks great, better than my old Viofo A129 Duo. I ran the rear dashcam cable and now I just need to install the Dongar...

What have you done to your CX-9 today?

Yeah I might do all that for a ceramic coating or PPF prep. However in my experience, I've only had to do an iron decon once, when the 2018 was first delivered. After that, no iron decon necessary (for my car). Clay bar/towel I didn't need to do often either, maybe once every 3 years? Possibly...

What have you done to your CX-9 today?

I don't find that to be a problem, seems more like a nice benefit to me since one bottle goes a long way. Believe me, I've gone over it in my head plenty of times, watched tons of videos on ceramic coating applications, detailing and paint correction. I know a true ceramic coating is the best...

Horrible gas mileage in brand new CX-5

I tend to get better mileage out of 93 in my CX-9. Not a lot, maybe an extra 15-20 kms (10-12 mi), but a bit more than 87.

What have you done to your CX-9 today?

I plan to use it at least until I run out. So far I've only applied it twice on my 2018, and it seems like I'll have enough for at least a couple more years. When it runs out, I'll reevaluate, but right now the spray and the occasional ceramic wash and wax from the same company have given me...

What have you done to your CX-9 today?

Installed the Sprint Booster and CorkSport intake from the 2018 onto the 2022, and upgraded the rear turn signal bulbs to LED. Also gave it a quick wash. Here's my To Do list before the snow hits: Diff fluid drain and fill AT fluid drain and fill Engine oil and filter change Apply Cerakote...

    Mike's 2022 CX-9 Kuro Edition

Installed the Sprint Booster the other day. I took a little extra time to achieve a cleaner install than I had with the 2018. The wire for the controller runs from the pedal back towards the seat, then up and behind a plastic panel on the center console. It comes out at the steering column, and...

    Electric seats swappable?

Hmm I forgot about the rear foglight for EU spec vehicles.. well, at least you know the bumpers are possible. Even if the seat connectors are there, I'm unsure if the seats are "plug and play". I wonder if the functionality would need to be enabled or coded in.

    Electric seats swappable?

I think it would probably be easier and cheaper to buy a Mazda6 with electric leather seats, then buy or swap the front bumper.

    Mike's 2022 CX-9 Kuro Edition

I think so too! I'm so tempted to swap them back on right now lol Thanks Glaucus. Is your Kuro black, or polymetal gray? I've never been a fan of black wheels, these ones are no exception. They're fine for now, but if the opportunity arises, I'll change it up a bit. This car is a Quebec car...

    Constant Reboot...CMU issue?

Yes, that's right. Spraying the cleaner on the card's contacts and then inserting and removing the card should clean the contacts in the port a little better than just spraying the cleaner into the port.

    Poll 2.5T Coolant Leak/Engine Replacement

Nobody needs to set aside any amount of money if they don't want to. That's just a practical approach that I suggest. And that amount was based on getting the repair done by a Mazda dealership with brand new OEM parts, in Canada. In the US, parts are much cheaper.

From the Sith (VW) to the Jedi (Mazda). Insights Welcome

We have a great community here, but you're asking for some very specific feedback that really, only users from your surrounding locale would be able to provide, with regard to which dealer to visit for the best deals around Philadelphia. I would ask that you exercise a bit more patience as more...

    Constant Reboot...CMU issue?

Have you tried cleaning the contacts for the SD card yet? For some, that solved the issue. You can get an electrical contact cleaner from an auto parts store, spray the cleaner on the SD card's contacts, then insert it into the slot and remove it a few times. Spray a bit more cleaner and repeat...

    Poll 2.5T Coolant Leak/Engine Replacement

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's guaranteed to happen eventually, but it is true that all 2016-2020 models carry the potential for this issue. My 2018 went 7 years and 140k (87k mi) without this issue. If you're in the US and covered by CSP11, I would buy without hesitation, but I would also...
