Check manufactured date (on the tires). 6 yrs is the limit for tires. Beyond that, no tire shop will touch your tires.

Such feature (folding side mirrors) were not available to US customers until close to 2020 models. However, I recall seeing someone sells a kit to achieve what you want to do. Search online a bit for your 2013 model.

As ^ suggested... if giving it some gas makes engine keep running, but idle does not hold on by itself, you might have a ICV leak. (idle control valve) Saw my co-worker's Lexus RX failed that way (15 yrs ago) when going home from office.

Transmission failure after ATF change is usually due to flushing the AT. Your plan sounds good to me. Just make sure they do drain-n-refill only (no flushing), and use correct fluid. Ask them to clean the pan and don't over/under fill fluid.

From what I read, the detection is based on triangulation of three sensors. 1 in center console. 2 in the front doors. To start the engine, the fob has to be within reasonable distances to the three. i.e. fob cannot be outside the doors. In short, your fob remains inside the cabin .... Could be...

I would have it inspected, fluids renewed or checked, then, give it to her. I gave used cars to my kids and sent them to college. Same routine.

50mA * 12V = 600mW = 0.6W Not much. Much less than a tiny light bulb. With your security system, this is expected. Your 12V battery showing 12.5v is within normal range. A full/heathy 12V should measure 12.6v (2.1v * 6 cells). Anywhere between 12.4 to 12.6v is normal.

Too much technology in this case. The mechanical key also triggers the lock actuator, which does not work w/o 12V battery power. Dumb design, I agree. If this happens to me.... I'd call a lock smith (or AAA) to unlock the door mechanically. Open the hatch. Jump the car.
