Yeah I don't buy the wonky oil pan. How does it have to do with the dealership? Did the dealership replaced the pan which caused the wonky angle? Next thing you know, they didn't set the right psi in your tires and make it sit unlevel.
Piano black = glossy
Black = matte, which looks like what you have.
Did you look at the list that the dealership give you and cross reference the part #s?

You'll need a new assembly for the side mirror since the base got damaged
Don't have an answer to your question but I personally wouldn't do it. Perhaps you can get a piece of 2x4 lumber as a "ramp" to give you that extra space to jack up from the stock location. Or maybe even a few pieces of paver stones?
Companies should be heavily fined. Most importantly, jail time should be dished. Someone consciously made the decision to falsify record. This person needs to be made example.
I do recall seeing a post in the cx-9 section and the OP found his springs to be defective because the coils would touch. MAYBE the coils are touching during compression?
This is a generalized observation...
21 or older have a higher chance of engine defects such as coolant leak from head or excessive oil consumption.
22+ likely have addressed such defects
Aside from the engine complaints, Cx-9 is a solid car.
Glad to hear you were able to fix it PROPERLY by yourself. This is exactly why I don't like other people working on my car. They rip you off and they don't fix the issue and cause MORE damage in the process.
Thanks for sharing the info and pics!!
OP is asking us to diagnose a problem over the Internet off of 2 paragraph of text. I'm just asking a clarifying question and brainstorming potential causes.
