    Friction modifier in XT-M5-QS?

Most haven't had the noise since switching over (myself included). Why worry unless it happens? If mine started up again, I probably wouldn't add any modifier based on what I've read on this forum.

What have you done to your MS3 today?

Installed Koni Yellows and Pro-kit springs in the rear. Still waiting on one of the front struts to arrive.

Anyone else not install these when installing shocks?

Found this statement on another site... The white ring on your KONIs is called the "bump plate" and is a surface for your bump rubber to impact into that will keep it from pushing an air pocket or road dirt into the damper seal. Although a simple little piece, it is helpful to provide a little...

    the dreaded clunk

Same here - dealer told me it was 'normal'. Lost a lot of respect for said dealer after that... Keep us posted!

How to restore handling when weight added to rear?

150 is probably an exaggeration - I just know the rear end sags. The body roll is significantly worse than my Speed. I would feel uncomfortable making an emergency lane change in his car. Once I have room in the garage, I'll be able to bring it in and check things out. Gotta get rid of some...

    Bah.. I broke my toy...

The dealer provided you with that warranty?! Surely they tacked on some significant coin for a warranty that long?

How to restore handling when weight added to rear?

I just drove my son's Mazda 3s home from California. He's added about 150 pounds of weight behind the rear seats with amps and subs. The car handles like ass now. He's on OEM shocks and springs. What would best help with the added body roll? Aftermarket RSB? I haven't checked his rear...

    Bah.. I broke my toy...

Sorry to hear of your woes, Diana. I had both of my motors replaced at North Park, and they were great - but that was over a year ago. My more recent dealings have not been so great, and my favorite service advisor, Patrick Walsh, left for another dealership. He was always very...

    Bah.. I broke my toy...

I had no intention of going there - you obviously know your rotary stuff ;) And, I've been walking for 47 years, and driving a stick for 32. If you've been doing it longer, you should be MazdaspeedOldLady :D

    Spring match for Koni Yellows

Yeah, your impressions are making me anxious to get my last front. I have three in hand - still need the springs and a front right.

    Spring match for Koni Yellows

Koni recommends the Eibach Pro-Kit springs for the Yellows.

    manual transaxle fluid

I put in MT-90 at 30K, by 45K I had horrible diff whine when turning at low speeds (no complaints about shifting, though). Replaced with the Motorcraft synthetic and diff whine is gone. Worth 60 bucks to me - that diff whine was embarrassingly audible...

alternative struts after Koni GB failure?

Three of my four Koni Yellows are on the way. Still waiting for one front and the springs. Oh well, guess I can take them out of the box and lovingly stroke them, anyway ;)

bent my wheel, time for new ones!

I'll sell you an OEM wheel - I've got a full set with the same problem in my garage - one rim is slightly bent. I figure I can get rid of the three good ones anyway...

    Bah.. I broke my toy...

What happened with your RX-8? Did your engine get replaced too? Mine was done at about 42K. Also had the Speed's engine replaced at 30K. It's a damn shame Mazda makes cars that are so fun to drive, or I'd have blown them off long ago.
